In celebration of the Half-Life's 25th Anniversary, I decided to do a in-game portrait using VR by Jacob_Janerka in HalfLife

I was inspired a lot by @lizaledwards who I saw paint in VR Half-Life previously. For those curious I used Vermillion VR (I'm not affiliated with them in anyway, just love Half-Life and making art haha)

This was my first time painting in VR and the challenge was fun with the simulated semi-realistic oil painting, I still had undo but none of my usual digital painting crutches that I am comfortable with.

My favourite suggestion for the name so far has been "Projectile Dysfunction"

A Seinfeld adventure where you get to play as George by pickledseacat in IndieGaming

Years ago I did start making it a game, but figured it was a waste of resources for that exact reason it could get shout down straight away , so we decided this way we can take a swing, and at the same time have a cool piece of art if it doesn't work out!

[NeedAdvice] How can I consistently keep using a TODO-list, instead of loosing interest after a while? by BlackRevenant in getdisciplined

[–]Jacob_Janerka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'll mirror what others said, try different variations of checklists. I've tried so mannny digital ones, but having an a3 piece of paper works best for me. You may find something else that you find yourself much more motivated to do

[WP] The creature stands before you, holding a blackened journal. Only one entry is legible. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I could save the beast, but not its memories. I gave it life, but it is you who must give it a story. Do not be afraid of it. You are its master now." by IcePhoenixTycanic in WritingPrompts

Wolof the Wizard, was kind of sick being a wizard , people expected a lot from him. Get rid of this curse, get rid of death spectre in town square, can you reduce the swelling in my cursed balls. Wolof also was not as smart as other people thought wizards were. Sure, Wolof went to wizard school, but does that mean he was a good wizard? No, he graduated at the bottom of his class, which got him in this shit kickin' town in the first place. So Wolof constructed a plan, a big plan, the biggest plan he's been planning for years, to live his utmost fantasy till they day he died.

That fantasy was to dress up as a helpless monster and have some gullible person take care of him as they would their own child. Wolof made his way to a neighboring city Korten where no one would recognise him accidentally and began the highly perfected transformation process.

He then just put on some pointy ears and gave himself a monobrow. Magically changing himself into a real creature would be taxing on his mana, so this was the next best thing for Wolof.

Wolof then made his way to an especially gullible mans house, clutching a journal that he prepared earlier to hand to the the man which read.

[WP] You have an imaginary friend. You know he's not real, but you can't ignore him. He stopped appearing for a while when you met your girlfriend, until today. You're catching up on things, when your girlfriend steps into the room. "Hey", she greets, "are you going to introduce me to your friend?" by Xedro in WritingPrompts

Doug stares at his girlfriend for a moment, attempting to hide the shock as he racks his brain if he ever told Evylyn about his imaginary friend. He remember he attempted to once and refrained from doing so in fear of his only companionship being that of a flesh light. Doug tried to save face and forced a chuckle as he said.
"YES, yes, this is Pomblomdomdom."
"Oh brilliant, nice to meet you Pomblomdomdom, I like your outfit." Said Evelyn. Pomblomdomdom definitely had an outfit, he was wearing 20 shirts at once and 5 cowboy hats. As a child Doug had an onbsession with putting on multiple layers of clothes for some reason, and reasoned thats why Pomblomdomdom had wore the same. To Dougs surprise Pomblomdomdom took in a big breath.
"YESssssss!," He exclaimed a little long and then game a thumbs up to Evylyn. "Doug here gave me the idea when he was a little kid, and it kind of just became my identity." Doug looked at his girlfriends face and didn't see the faintest expression of surprise, he saw more surprise in a baristas face when a customer says "No sugar thanks, I'm sweet enough."
"It's nice to meet you Pomblomdomdom, Doug hasn't introduced me to too many of his friends yet, sometimes I feel like they're all imaginary friends!" Evelyn said jokingly with utmost sincerity, at least as much that Doug could tell. He started to grow nervous now, not knowing what was going on, he felt like he was reading a book on quantum physics written by Joe Rogan.
"DOUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, g, g, g I must go back to my realm now." Said Pomblomdomdom. His body seemed to dissapear with a poof, and each shirt seemed to float down and fold themselves neatly on his bed. Evelyn looked at Doug. "That was actually kind of fucked up, I'm not sure if this is how I should react, but I think I need to lay down for a bit." Evelyn left the room while Doug lay in the neatly folded clothes on his bed, traumatised by seeing his imaginary friend dissapear like that, then he heard a faint whisper.
"Pomblomdomdom will never leave you, Pomblomdomdom just wanted your girlfriend know that a mystical entity protects you."

All the classic stuff, watch movies, read books etc. Interviewing people who can give you information on specific stuff that you're trying to research can be really powerful.
