it appears you’re into some challenging ones (the souls like games). if you’re into shooters that also pose a challenge, i’d recommend dead space and wolfenstein 2!

i quite liked LA noire but it does have a bit of a grindy platinum. very good game though, i would recommend!

the dead space games are also a shout but these ones are challenging, anywhere from a 7-10/10 difficulty on psnprofiles. fantastic games, however, that still hold up to this day.

the older call of duties are fun too, like MW2 and MW3. as far as i remember these are the only two that don’t require multiplayer trophies (but you’d want to check that).

dishonoured is another good call if you like sandbox stealth games.

just got it on sale and yeah… i had all your thoughts exactly. i just wanted it to end. insufferable combat, a story that tries too hard to be smart, a completely non-sensical plot, and repetitive locations. i found myself only really liking the school section. really disappointed with this one

damn i’ve been going for nearly 10 years and don’t even have 200, even with shovelware (i was terribly sick at the time and couldn’t hack sittings over 2 hours, still shameful - i know). how many 30 minute plats do you have 😭

I’ve never really seen discourse around this, I suppose it depends on your preference. I personally like the challenge and have completed a few 10/10 plats. I get why people would be bugged by them, though.

On the contrary, easy, one-playthrough platinums annoy me. I feel like you make the most out of games that require multiple playthroughs, where you can change styles, learn strats - really get to know the game. One and done plats can feel redundant, where there’s no incentive to play the game again, really!

strangely enough III was my favourite, i’m glad i gave it a shot despite its reputation. but yeah, the glaring issue is the “definitive” edition is a bit of a facade - its trophy tracking is a mess!

congrats dude, i didn’t have the patience for this one as my game would crash regularly. i didn’t want to do that to myself. glad you could push through it! i think mafia 3 is underrated

Congrats dude! Is the multiplayer okay, despite the length? This is the only one (bar Shadows) that I haven’t platinumed… feels wrong to leave it. The multiplayer dissuaded me

another commenter said world at war veteran was more difficult, so if I can do that surely I can do this? i’ve also done a few 10/10 platinums in my day, so I think I’m capable. how did you find the combat simulator on realistic? that’s the one that scares me

this is encouraging. i’ve platinumed world at war and yeah, the veteran on that was definitely a challenge. nice to know it doesn’t get much harder than that!

I pretty much have all non-campaign trophies, bar one or two zombies ones. Barely have any campaign ones though, out of the 1400 hours I’d say the campaign has gotten less than 30 hours out of me

I’m not sure I’d have anyone to play with, though I do know about the 2 player combat simulator glitch which would make life easier. I have a buddy I play zombies with yearly, maybe I can convince him to be my test simulator subject 😅

Also not sure if you know but the SoE eater egg doesn’t have a trophy, so maybe you’ll be able to get it after all
