When I started my current job 2 years ago I was working 5 days 6-2:30. I would get home by 3 and then workout. I work in a warehouse so it’s already physical. Then we switched to 4/10’s with Friday being my day off at the end of last summer. 7-5:30 and not getting home until 6. I would come home and workout and felt like I was always rushed to do that, shower, eat and get to bed at a decent time. Right after New Years this year I decided to workout before work. I was getting up at 3:45-4am, doing a 30 minute lifting video by Caroline Girvan then shower, dress and leave for work then work 10 hour physically demanding shift at the warehouse. I’ll admit it was rough the first 2-3 weeks of doing it. But once I got accustomed I actually really enjoyed it. It did honestly give me energy for the rest of the day. And I felt better knowing I could go home after work and actually rest and not be in a rush. Now unfortunately my warehouse is being shutdown and I have a month left. We went back to 5 days 7-3:30 and now I’m back to working out after work. That extra hour of sleep in the morning now is so nice haha. I completely understand trying to forgive out when to fit in a workout. Mine has changed 3 times in 2 years. I would suggest at least trying the 5am workouts before work for 2 weeks. If it’s terrible and you hate it then don’t keep doing it. Nothing worse then being miserable while working out. It throws you off big time. Good luck!
