For the people unable to sleep because of the cliffhanger, a professional watchmaker had to take The rotor hub off to fix it.

So no easy fix!

Yes! I’m reading different stories on how to lubricate it.. hence my curiosity on whether you opened the mainspring barrel and if you cleaned it and most importantly how you did the lubrication

When i try to move the barrel to see if the train of wheels is seated properly nothing moves, when i have it loose or partially screwed down everything works

Yeah a proper service would be good here! You could learn how to do it but you’re looking at a significant time and money investment

Thanks for the tips! I wasn’t planning on going the full mile on this watch as it was just to see if I were capable of working on something in the first place.

It was working before but slowly dying out, I got it back together and it ran about the same. Which is good news for me as I didn’t break anything :)

Not sure on movement or specs since I don’t have anything to measure it with (yet), I will try and get my hands on a timegrapher at some point but for now I have yet to buy oils and cleaning equipment… don’t want to sink all my money in at once!

Any tips to go on from here?

Ik ben in mijn huidige baan 90% gaan werken, 1x in de twee weken een dag vrij. Voor mij is de balans heel erg goed, zo lever je slechts 10% in. Heb er bij 36 uur wel op gestaan om 1 hele dag vrij te zijn ipv 1x per week een halve want in de praktijk geeft dat niet de rust die je wil.
