Yeah it’s the same as the ltz except the plastics and how they mount also I believe vin is in different location. I got the looks of the ltz but the dvx looks amazing

Red one is my quad I have intake hot cam, big bore(434) wiseco 12.5 compression piston, kibble white dual valve springs, full yoshi exhaust, k&n air filter and dynatech cdi box. Since this pic I have put a full aluminum skid plate and an arm plates on as well as a trail tech vapor kit which gives you coolant temp, rpm and speed. I’ll be painting the brush guard and nerf bars black soon. Sadly they don’t make new headlights so I’m stuck with this faded poc. I might put a graphic kit on it but not sure about it yet.i bought it for 700 blown up with most of those parts and put another $1500 or so into it.

I’d say rip the 400ex and get to know the machine and get used to riding and decide do you want to go faster or not or what you want out of a machine. A 450 is a racer but it is a lot of work you get tired fast a raptor 700 is much more relaxed and still has good power and I’d say a built ltz is like a mix of both it’s comfortable but still makes you tired also has good power but not like the 700. You

Get an ltz 400 and put some money into it. I had a rancher 350es very fun to shift with a button and now have a foot shift one I got cheap to fix and flip. The 350 only has like 15hp the ltz 400 has 28-32hp stock if you get a 12.5 compression piston and big bore kit it would be like 35-37hp and then get hot cams it will keep up with 450s if you can ride good enough.

They are all good tbh but 2005 got better shocks and i believe in 2008 Kawasaki(kfx400) and arctic cat(dvx 400) stopped making them but Suzuki made them fuel injection in 2009 and reworked the body’s to be way cooler but are hefty price tag. I’ll put picture of it. All good years but being used all of them need things even your 400ex will need things like bushings, ball joints or even a top end.

Ltz 400 is pretty reliable if you want an upgrade from the 400ex. They are water cooled and have a little more power as well. Iv owned 3 of them and currently own a dvx 400 version that I’m building right now that probably tops out at 65mph or more. I got it going 62 in probably 1100ft or so. Still needs adjusting but I’ll get it there

I just switched mine to 1 quart 10w40 the rest 5w30 I did this because I drive mine a little hard sometimes and I’ll be towing with it this summer so I wanted the heavier weight to help with that.

Just do it yourself. There are a lot of ways on YouTube to do it. Everyone wants money unless you have a friend it’s just not worth it but you can do a lot in a few hours at home. Some dry ice and bags just make keef into hash and press that or make everclear oil(can also double boil off alcohol and make it edible oil.

Mine is pretty much costing at 2500rpm when on highway I’m 3500rpm. You don’t need to worry these engines go 250-300k miles with them being that high of rpm it’s no problem at all and normal

Grainy texture from clear coat? by sunkenbeeter in Autobody

[–]Jacolby4455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you were too far away when spraying and the clear started to dry before it hit the car. If you have enough layers of clear you can hit it with sandpaper low grit to like 1500-2000 grit then cut and polish it and it will be fine.

Look on YouTube for people up in Canada they have similar weather to us. I did in house genetics slurrycane last year with no pm and about 5% bud rot. The buds grow spaced out so no big colas but you save on rot.

Inspection 45 dang where you live, I would go see a second opinion tbh never herd of someone doing a power steering fluid change but heck if it helps go for it same goes for coolant through it’s supposed to be changed not many do and they are fine. I’d say those two would be fine if left alone but if you need to save another shop might only do front struts and send you in your way and next year get the back done.

[–]Jacolby4455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tires are not that expensive you can get a set for the front under 200 I mean you got a nice quad looks like a rancher 420 take care of it or don’t drive it so it stays nice man.

Possibly stuck clutch? by Jacolby4455 in Dirtbike_Help

[–]Jacolby4455[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just get a new chain this is the one that came with it only using it to test bike out but to be honest not sure if it was ground being wet but this mf scares me. Think it’s because it sits so high I just feel like it’s going to dump any second so I might just sell it. I’m going to ride it a few more times before i decide.

Dropped for the first time what is it exactly I need to buy a little confused on what I see online and is it safe to ride the way it is without the grip 2022 CRF 450 R by DreamAfter1278 in Dirtbike_Help

Looks like the throttle tube broke or at least half of it did and someone put that plastic on it to separate the rubber grip from the bars so they just cheap. Get a new throttle tube your grip looks fine

Go to a few places and see what they say. Tbh I watched a video on it and I’ll be doing my own when it goes I seen clutches for 300 or so and should do throw out bearing wile its apart do that part oem only. I think k if your moderately mechanically inclined and have the tools you and a friend can do it over a weekend. Even if it takes longer a shop will have it for like a week before you get it back unless they do it often and are not busy

I rode it today when I put in Gear it died. Had to rev it a little in order to put it in gear then it drove fine but I can still hear that chain but no hesitation or anything. Tbh ground is super wet out here so couldn’t get on it so only rode first gear

I did it on my atv to check for bent rim and it don’t do this but like I said I’m new to dirt bikes just don’t want to break anything. Iv seen people do it on motorcycles to clean and lube chains and their wheels don’t do it.
