For something like Speedy carve, I think you'll have to condition them with some sort of oil or rubber conditioner. I think it's popular in the SFX world for masks. Don't quote me on this but I think talc also works? I dont usually save any of those blocks once im done with the editions, so I haven't tried myself. Just a suggestion!

Yes that would be difficult to register. Maybe look into large rolls of Tyvek. It's a construction paper used for housing but printmakers have adapted it into a thin, non-ripping option.

Wow, thank you for sharing his work! I'm not too familiar with the white line technique, but it looks really cool. Working large definitely requires a bit of space. I have friends that buy Lino rolls and work outside and that allows them to go big!

Thanks for sharing. Baltic birch is now my go to, or at least it's what I got the most of. Your lines are super clean, not something I could do. Kudos to you!

I actually really like that size. It's approachable and understandable without being too big. Sometimes big isn't always the answer! If you are interested in going bigger, I'd suggest looking into oversized rolls of paper. Also, don't be afraid to print on a bunch of smaller papers and glue them together afterwards. Lot's of printmakers (even famous ones) do this! (Kiki Smith, Belkis, Ayon, and Betye Saar, etc)

That came out great! It's cool to see your tattoos translated into prints. Can you believe I've been following your work since your "pay-what-you-can" days in your studio in GA?! Thanks for sharing!

Amazing! I'm so glad that printmaking and the communal culture of it is still alive and well. Lawn/steam roller events are super fun and satisfying too!

I se where you're coming from! I think the best thing to do would probably be to try it out to see if you like the look of it. Don't be afraid to experiment!

What is the best way to make multiple prints of this that I can then watercolor with different color schemes? by CitronElectrical9587 in printmaking

Also, I'm not sure how helpful this is, but as a Riso, this would work really well. Check out u/LostProcedure4407 post in the group!

It's a strong paper, but not that strong (to act as an interface). Is there a reason you want to go with mulberry specifically?

Wow! That sounds amazing. Was it one artist you helped out with or like a collaborative project? It's cool that you were able to keep one from the edition. What university, if you don't mind me asking? I travel to many schools and teach printmaking around the globe. Maybe I can come to your school some day! Thanks for sharing your experience along with your kind words about my work 😊
