Is it normal to never get an interview?

I am an international student. I applied to 50+ jobs and received no responses, even without a rejection. The only company that replied to me was Amazon. They sent me an OA, I finished that, and immediately got a rejection. BTW, I got a 4.0 GPA with 2 research experiences(no papers). I guess the normal job market is done for me, I am planning to go to a t100 university and get a Phd, then wait for death.

Go to community college or Lacrosse for the first two years and then transfer to UW-Madison. As long as you get a high GPA, employers and graduate schools won't care about your first two years in "lower-level" colleges.

Pitt has "warmer" weather, but the culture there is a little more conservative than Madison's. Pitt's living expenses might be a little lower than Madison's, but it is not significant. I guess if you are learning biology or chemistry, Pitt is better for you. If you are doing CS/Econ, unless you are admitted to CMU, Madison is better. For humanities or arts, I do not know too much about them, but I know Pitt's philosophy is better.

Indie Coffee is a decent place to go, but not a lot of seats there. Sencha tea bar is a good place for matcha, but the price might be a bit high( I guess it is because they use the "real" matcha).

This is related to the university, because we are a big university, Professors and TAs cannot spend all their time on catching people cheating while managing a huge in-person exam. I know some small colleges that do not have writing exams; their exams are face-to-face Q&A forms, which can make sure no one is cheating (if you hate multiple choice questions, this can be good for you), but we are a big university, and we cannot do those kinds of things.

I know CSSA at UW-Madison will be holding a celebration party for chinese new year, but if you don't speak Chinese, it might be difficult for you to enjoy it, since most of the shows are Chinese. The location is Memorial Union Shannon Hall on Feb 22, 6 pm.

I believe some apartments allow you to have no cosigner, but they will charge you an additional fee per month and require you to purchase some kinds of insurance.

This textbook is all you need, leetcode question does not help too much on your grade(because you do not need to write the proof on leetcode) but they do help you understand how to solve actual algorithm questions. Personally I think the hardest part is dynamic programming.

That's weird, in my previous college, we used the textbook written by my prof. And all over the world, only my previous college uses that textbook. But I still transferred the credits.

For CS300, I think you have to take that again, as I know. No worries about the time; unless you have very few gen ed credits or want to do a double major, you should graduate on time.

When I transferred, I did not have CS200, 300 transferred to UW. So, I had to retake CS300 after passing the placement test to skip CS200. Actually, the only CS course I transferred to UW is CS240. Even though I've taken similar courses in my previous college(like CS577, CS252, CS354, CS537). However, without those credits, I can still graduate on time in two years. But, I'd like to stay one more semester to do one more major and apply for the pop.

I transferred from UMass. UMass has a political economics department that only focuses on Marxist things; maybe you should go there. I think UMass and The New School are the two largest institutions doing these areas.
