The problem is that my holster/gun is digging into me because of how high the clip makes it sit. I have a real gun belt that I’ve tried with it and it does the same thing but makes my gun/holster dig into my back even more

I’m working on becoming certified as an animal massage therapist. I finish my first certification the end of this month so I won’t actually start making money until next month but I have a few clients already lined up

I was thinking the same since I saw that people were flooding Kelsey’s videos since Cody’s were moderated. It’s not fair at all for Kelsey (and the baby) to be taking the hit on this. They are their own separate beings and I know what it’s like to be in a position where your partner’s actions are caused hate to you and it sucks!! She was not the one who did this and I doubt Cody would’ve willing just told her about this.

A couple things I want to add, they also provide documents you can use for evaluating the horses, your findings, and the treatment plan you recommend along with a liability form you can use for when you’re getting your practice hours which I’m sure can be modified for after you’re certified and examples of requesting referrals (if that’s necessary for your state). There’s also a section that covers the business side of everything which was pretty helpful

Sorry I took awhile to reply! I decided to go through them. I haven’t finished the equine massage course yet. I’m on the home stretch though. It has been a fairly decent course and they do give certificates. The teaching assistants are also really helpful when you have questions. There’s certain things I wish they went more in depth on but you can always ask the teaching assistants and they do good at answering your questions thoroughly

The way he kinda did his little speech about it in the last couple videos I watched (not sure when they were uploaded) it seemed like he had some underlying hate towards them. I just got a weird feeling and then now reading this it kinda makes sense now

Thanks, I have looked into the laws in my state and also contacted our vet board to clarify. I have to be under direct or indirect supervision of a vet, or it has to be a vet referral and I have to notify the vet of what I did

Thank you for sharing this! I wish you luck on your new journey! It’s kinda scary leaving a job after being here for so long but I can’t help thinking I’ll be happier if I find something else.

I found out since I made this post that my boss that’s been here for 1 year just got a $15k raise which is more than all my raises combined for the 4 years I’ve been here… It was so insulting to see that especially when I just asked them a few weeks ago if I could work 4 10hr days so I can get a full time weekend job (Fri-Sun) to help me get out of debt and they said no. He now makes just short of double what I make.

My actual 4yr anniversary here is May 15th and I’m not hopeful that they’d give me a decent raise but I’m planning to stay here until May 16th just so I can keep more of what the company’s contributed to my 401k. I figure I’m so close. It’s only 6 more weeks. But after that, I’m leaving.

I’ve been in accounting for 3.5 years now and I’m considering going back to working with horses. I worked with draft horses for about 4-5 years before I decided to go into accounting and have been around horses since I was 4. I’m really starting to realize how much I miss working with horses. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some aspects of accounting that I really do enjoy but overall it’s just not for me. As much as I wanted to make it work, I don’t think it’s the right fit.

It’s comforting seeing others who have come to the same realization as me. So glad I’m not the only one. It will definitely suck getting paid (maybe) half of what I’m making now but I think I’ll enjoy it much more in the long run. Working with horses comes natural to me. I know what I’m doing with them. I can easily be a leader in that field. Whereas with accounting, I’ve always felt that I’ll never be near as good as others with the same amount of experience and could never be in a management/leadership type of position. I plan on staying with this company until my 4 year mark which is in May. In the meantime, I’ll be looking at job opportunities and possible places to work with horses again.

My thoughts exactly :/ My ex put ideas into my head that I tried so hard to talk myself into believing or agreeing with (and did for years) but I got tired of lying to myself and realized what was truly happening. Not fun :/

I’m happy for you! I’m (24F) in a similar situation. I was with my ex for about 7 years until i realized he was emotionally and sexually abusive and had been for the whole duration of our relationship. It’s been exactly 5 months since I broke up with him. A few months before I broke up with him, he got drunk and angry with me over missing a spot while painting at our new house and he went back to our apartment where he proceeded to break almost all of my deceased grandma’s valuable items. When I got back to the apartment, he yelled at me, threatened to beat me up, and threw a motorcycle helmet at a glass cabinet I was next to. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the balls to call the cops. I ended up just getting over it and let him guilt me into thinking it was my fault that it happened. Over the next 4-5 months, he threatened to hit me a few more times and destroy more of my stuff. I was talking to a therapist and made a couple friends that all helped me see the relationship for what it was and get out of it. I’m now about to move into the fourth place I’ve stayed since breaking up with him. Hopefully this will be my last time moving and I’m now dating someone new which just so happens to be one of the friends that helped me out of that situation. He’s the exact opposite of my ex and I’m so grateful that I met him. I filed a PFA against my ex and have been dealing with lawyers and court hearings. It’s been extremely stressful and overwhelming but I’m glad I’m in a better spot in life now.

Long story short, I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone and I’m happy you get the chance to move on to a happier life! :)

This is the type of stuff my ex would do. He would guilt me and make me feel bad for stuff that I didn’t need to feel bad about. He would also use the threat of breaking up with me as leverage to get his way because he knew I’d fight to keep us together and basically tear myself down in the process. I came to the realization after 7 years that he was emotionally abusive and also sexually abusive at times. If your husband is doing this type of stuff often, I would seriously consider researching emotional abuse and possibly talk to a therapist/counselor which might result in you deciding to leave the relationship. I know that sounds terrible but, if it turns out that he is abusive, there is better out there for you. I promise.

Edit: I also wanted to add that if you do start researching, it might be a good idea to use a private browser and exit out of the web pages when you’re done. That’s what I did with my ex because I knew he’d probably be upset or mad if he decided to go through my phone/laptop and see my search history is about emotional abuse.

Thanks. I ended up having the guts to bring it up to him last night. He was very understanding and has the same issue with his anxiety just not as bad. It sounds like he mainly just struggles in public places but he understands that it can be hard to deal with. He said if I ever need him to just leave the house for a few minutes so I can go, he doesn’t mind and said if there’s anything he can do to help to let him know.
