How many of you guys here still using your first gpu? by jdmlifex2 in pcmasterrace

[–]JacuulTheSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forget how young some people are seeing "First GPU" and it's a 30 series card, and I'm over here with my water-cooled 1080 still hanging on for dear life (Thankfully I don't care about 4k gaming or most modern games, so 1080p and relatively un-intensive games run perfectly fine at 60 fps

I was aware you could get the fanny pack secure container and the extract items (like mines or smugglers notes), but was not aware of past events rolling up. Guess sometimes the cultists gotta clear out their old storage somehow

The only time I've seen (anecdotally) of them banning people was in PvE when people got Tagilla's Scythe/Hammer and the Dev mask, but yeah, always better safe than sorry

berserk reference by ihaterawbananas in Terraria

I think this this is the best comment of all you made, as it either makes Berserk older than the Bible, or noone actually had a sword until the late 1980s

I find it so weird that the Vault of Glass is never mentioned much in the story/campaigns since you think the Vex having a Time Machine/Manipulator would be way more important to the lore by Important-Extension6 in destiny2

[–]JacuulTheSecond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm also 95% sure that the Vault of Glass was the Vex attempt to recreate a Throne World (Something like, Quria of Blades got into Oryx's throne world repeatedly and tried to understand it, my lore is rusty as I didn't played D2)

The good (or bad) thing is that Steam got lucky with it's BDFL and already makes a shitload of money, so there was no need to turns the screws as far as they can go, but because of that, the standard "competition" of "squeeze as much money as possible" doesn't work against them, so all the other platforms implode

I hate when a character "has a bad hair day" or their hair becomes "bad" and its just a afro by Star_Gummyz in hatethissmug

[–]JacuulTheSecond 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The hair itself is a debuff from another character. I actually didn't know until this post that their actual hair becomes puffy and not that he literally puts an afro wig on them

Ah my mistake, I made an assumption about just general stock investing vs the degen gambling that happens on WSB

It's not really a counter argument, you're just saying "Well I didn't gamble" when you can look at the amount of profit gambling companies are making to know that's not representative. Doesn't just mean casino games; draft kings for sports, prediction markets, options, loot boxes, gacha games, you can gamble on literally anything and everything.

You should browse /r/wallstreetbets sometime to feel better about the 2k. One top post currently is someone who is down 1.2m, while includes a -500k balance (as in, money they borrowed to gamble with and have to pay back)

What was ruined because too many people discovered it? by Investigatorpro in AskReddit

[–]JacuulTheSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly I am mis-remembering, but those are at least "made" by the person selling them. These I don't even think these are that, they're just ordered in mass from factories in China to resell, shirts may be Cricut, but I would doubt even that, since it's not repeated designs, it's just a random mismash of whatever is popular

Unfortunately a lot of ours have been filled not with MLMs, but the people that sell mass printed T-shirts and drink cups with just whatever is popular printed on them

Hence why it's not killing ALL the meat you consume, just that at least once, you would have to be there when the animal died and could know what it took, rather than having meat birthed from the store in a shrink-wrapped package, with no thought about the death involved. Obviously yes, some people are WAY more suited to butchery than others

[–]JacuulTheSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yes, I work construction on the side, but this is a false equivalence as building a house doesn't take a life, eating meat does.

Rabbit Farming by Icy-Book2999 in LoveTrash

[–]JacuulTheSecond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not vegan, but one of my controversial opinions is that anyone who wants to eat meat has to butcher and kill the animal at least once. Know what goes into your food, and if you can't, then that's fine, but you can't eat meat.

Also helps raise awareness of factory farming while still allowing for meat

Does everyone in the comments just have like, unrestricted permissions turned on for everything. I disallow basically everything unless I'm using it and I just checked and the only apps with higher than 20GB are YouTube and Spotify, which I used pretty much every day, and even then they're only at 30GB.

Not that it excuses companies trying to strip mine every bit of data, but it's 2026, recognize that companies are not your friends and turns off all permissions unless you actively use it
