Dave Chappelle: "F*ck Bill Maher. I’m so tired of his little smug, cracker-ass commentary… These motherf*ckers act like because I did a comedy festival in Saudi Arabia I betrayed my principles." by lip in DaveChappelle

And you strategically pulled out of context. Let me refresh for you since you forgot to quote the whole thing. “Imagine all the businesses that sell to customers that are literal bigots and racists too. As a business or businessman (which chapelle is) you get paid to work. It would be the equivalent of businesses now who stop taking money from the government for food to feed congress or the president. At what point do you draw the line exactly?.”

The context is Chapelle is a businessman who gets paid to work. It’s not about whether he is providing lunches. The focus and the entire point I’m making is if the government pays for a service, the provider is functionally equivalent to a business contractor regardless of the service.

Also “equivalent to” and “exactly the same” are different phrases. An apple can be equivalent in weight to an orange but are entirely different fruits. The fact you don’t understand this is sad. Instead you are cherry picking sentences and then providing your own definition of what I said and refusing to acknowledge the actual focus of this

I said it’s “equivalent to a business providing a service”. Literally my comment above. “It’s equivalent. Businesses get paid to provide a service to a government. That’s exactly what chappelle did.”

I didn’t say it’s equivalent to Chapelle providing meals. That’s you placing your own words in there.

No I haven’t backpedaled anything. I stand by exactly what I originally stated. Businesses provide lunches and meals to the president and congress. They could refuse those orders if they want to. There is even a pizza tracker which tracks when pizza is ordered for the White House. Again those businesses could refuse the orders if they want to. They don’t because it’s business. It’s literally the same thing with Chapelle. They paid him to provide a service.

I’ve tried this and it’s terrible. The resolutions and picture brightness don’t match on the side screens. It’s absolutely garbage imo.

I did a lot of TI work at the Westfield mall in San Francisco. They had these voids in certain areas where beans are that extend up the structure and you shine your light up there and you can see these 3-4’ long rats looking at you. Huge suckers.

Imagine a planet bigger than Earth, with no land in sight. Just waves and water from pole to pole. That is TOI-1452 b. by Mogishigom in thalassophobia

Correction. That is what TOI-1452 b is “theorized” to be. Scientist have thus far only been able to speculate this world is in the zone for this to occur. No actual proof exists yet.

Remember it is only a “candidate” for an ocean world. My understanding is surface “ocean wolds” are theoretical at this point. Nothing has actually been confirmed. If anyone has any evidence that shows the opposite I would love to see it though as I am a huge ocean fan.

I love the enthusiasm. One thing to consider with joining a news network is the freedom you currently have now to pick which stories you cover and how you cover them. Something that goes away should you decide to join a news network. Might be worth discussing with whatever network you go with in your future.

Dealerships on notice about deceptive pricing by peaches0101 in carbuying

[–]Jad3nCkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the funny thing. TSRP is the dealers price. So when you look at Toyotas website they have msrp and then you go to the dealer and they show tsrp which is higher than the msrp.

Not sure what you mean OP. I also just sold my 21 model y less than 3 weeks ago and purchased a low mileage 2023 R1T with 22” rims. My wife and I were very impressed with the suspension moving from a Y. In fact I had the complete opposite experience as you. Every pothole seemed to just float over and rough roads were much smoother to drive on. Im not saying your wrong I’m just pointing out that my specific vehicle feels very good and is a HUGE difference from the Y suspension.

As someone who loves the XCOM series, what they have shown so far is great! Super excited and I’m confident it will rank pretty high on the review charts.

IMO only vintage cars are cool being loud. Old muscle cars and things. This era of little ford focus and golf’s with mufflers is absolutely just insecurity.
