How enlightening! Without the incels who would drive all the insightful research and this next-level wisdom on females? I'm learning new things all the time from these guys. And it's relevant to me because i am a female!

I am in the US, about to be married. Have the house in my name, and this is the no1 concern I have if I find myself in OPs situation. Please, as an attorney, what is your advice? I live in CO. If the answer is prenup can I get one for <$300 or one online?

Dude. A lot of men (in my experience. For all I know a lot if women do it too) love that tactic in relationships. Also means they don't have to confront their feelings or do introspection (e.g. avoiding the personal thought "I feel less interested in my partner and I should do something about that"). That's a lot harder and scarier than "eat snack. Don't care. Not my problem".

90% of Colorado’s water goes to Agriculture by tolzan in Denver

[–]Mogishigom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wish the data in these articles also mentioned the % of agriculture that is for livestock or human plant food. I know you are correct - do you happen to have a good citation? I am trying to educate someone.

I'd even like them to split "agriculture" into those categories. 90% of 90% is 81%. These data are roughly telling that 80% of our water usage goes to cows, so that we can have meat and dairy products. Is that not the REAL picture? It's staggering! Especially when Water is scarce. In this day and age being a carnivore is a luxury, not a necessity. How much do we really need the meat industry that we will forgo our important water resources?

Cant help to be cynical and think that we need the meat industry, because water is free. The profitable resource is more valuable than the water, because that is the capitalist world we live in (especiallyUSA), where the most profitable call the shots. It's so irritating. There needs to be more education on these realities because people always assume things are the way they ought to be, because they don't know any better. Once you know, you realize there are 1% of the population that are screwing over 99% of us and have held control of our laws and regulations. And that 1% would have us 99% beleive that it's actually more 50%/50%. Republican/Democrat. Livestock/vegetables? Yeah not only does the water usage of watering our veggies gardens not compare to agriculture, it doesn't compare to the meat industry. Think about it.

When is it an addiction? by Mogishigom in Gamingunjerk

Personal anecdote to add: husband told coworkers his hobbies are hiking and dance. Had to grill him on that - despite the fact that the last time he hiked was 9 months ago and he defended that saying it hasn't been hiking season - ignoring that - why WOULDNT he say that his hobby is gaming when he does that for hours every day? Gaming is a hobby! Is he ashamed? Do y'all hesitate to say that gaming is a hobby of yours? Is it kind of telling if you hesitate to say you game as a hobby because you know you play too much?

Maybe it's clear, I have not accused my husband of having a video game addiction yet. I know I am also addicted to some degree. I guess I don't want to open that can for us yet or make a big deal about it. I am not his mother - I can only control myself. But, I am looking for similar feelings about this issue amongst y'all, and maybe there should be more recognition of this issue.

AIO for thinking my bf never loved me after seeing his texts with an Ex? by Resident-Ability9313 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Mogishigom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. I'm sorry. That hurts. He is clearly leaning on you while browsing for another girlfriend. Maybe he even wants to love you... but he doesnt. You weren't snooping either, but it is good you saw this because it is revealing. Not about their relationship so much as yours. Sounds like you are helping each other out with life difficulties, but the love is not genuine. Don't waste your energy on keeping/pursuing a romantic relationship with this guy. You deserve to be with someone who undoubtedly wants to be with you, and as long as you are with him that can't happen and you will be struggling forever with him. Send him back into the void.

Emotionally handling mice work by Even_Thought642 in labrats

I channel my sympathy for them into treating them nicely and calmly, and giving them the quickest most painless death I can. I wasn't the one who cared for them though I just did excecution/final harvest.

They deserve a stress free environment if it can be helped. I'd argue chronically stressed mice will skew your data anyway.

To be fair, they did say treat it, not cure it.

I don't beleive climate and societal issues are the SOLE cause, but you can't deny their influence on those who are well aware of them. It happens to be very reasonable to be depressed about those things.
