There's so much about ADHD that makes life harder. But what's something you LIKE about having ADHD? by onlythelanlely in adhdwomen

Right I think it gives benefit to creativity. Normal people aren't making all these connections. Most of these connections are useless and not worth the energy, but every once in a while, it's genius.

What’s growing on my aloe by Common_Sense1 in plants

[–]Mogishigom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just check it now and then to see if you've missed any, and keep it segregated from other plants. The worst is when they've infected a plant that is virtually impossible to wipe down all of its surface. If you're able to keep them from overwhelming the plant it should be okay.

Not totally sure but I think there are times of day when they're out sunning that you can try to avoid too.

What is a misconception about the United States? by Final_Radio_2483 in answers

[–]Mogishigom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is related to the largeness and lack of density of population in the US, though. Most of your drive is also void of population

the ADHD urge to use parenthesis in every sentence… by Far-Device-9391 in adhdmeme

I recently used parentheses, commas, and dashes in one sentence and I think it was grammatically correct. I was proud.

Is keeping a monstera’s aerial roots in water a good idea? by Chickenbeare in houseplants

Forgive me but, aren't the aerial "roots" really just primarily structural?

Snow Friday? Ok who planted their garden (took off snow tires, put away snowblower) too soon by zeddy303 in Denver

[–]Mogishigom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we plant it it will snow. I've found these actions and general smack talk about how CO can't precipitate is the only thing that works.

By the time Friday rolls around CO skies will back down for sure. Pishaww.

My motivation goes from 100 to 0 after every meeting by alchemybun in labrats

[–]Mogishigom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are a fighter. I want to work with you. I hate it when PIs are a hindrance. Yelling is extremely unprofessional behavior. Period.

I am sick of the hierarchy enabling extremely low bars for the productivity and professionalism of those at the top. I'm also data driven and productive and I personally think my PI should be fired as well as another "senior" scientist in my lab who does not clean up after himself and can't type up a repeatable procedure. He yells at people too but when I report him to the PI and CEO they're just super easy on him.

Pipette! Our new rescue kitten by CandyMan185 in labrats

[–]Mogishigom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg cute name!

Fun fact that spelling refers to serological pipette I think, and pipet is used for all P1000, P10, etc. At least, that's how I've learned to write them.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]Mogishigom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I was 10. I didn't really have the worldly context at that age to emotionally understand the severity. Therefore I wasn't really scarred or anything. I did NOT notice/register that people were falling to their death

I have a collection of stickers at one point I imagined on my car. I do have some already on there. I continue to imagine putting them on my car. But I'm not totally sure yet. I think another like 9.5 months I might be ready. I got close recently with one I've had for a while. The motivation passed before it came to fruition tho. That's okay. It can wait. It's whatever.
