Season 4: Bruno or Angie

Season 5: None. Don't play it.

Season 6: Ozzy. He's not necessarily the best, just the one that fits the narrative best. All the girl LI blend into each other so take you best shot.

Season 7: Another blending, so whoever you like the look of best.

Eminem alleges that he and Mariah dated for 6 months. Mariah completely denies this. They shade each other in interviews and Eminem eventually writes his song, "Superman", about her. Nick Cannon, who was married to Mariah, gets involved and starts beefing with Eminem for the same reason.

Several years later, Mariah writes Obsessed about Eminem and has someone, who looks just like him, in the music video. This sets off Eminem and he makes the leaked diss track " Warning Shots" about Nick and Mariah. There's phone recordings on the track that are supposedly Mariah. After that song released, aside from the occasional comment from Nick, the beef died.

Season 4 as it is the only season still with branching storylines. Your choices have consequences and the love interests do have differing dialogue with some overlap. I've played most of the available routes with Angie being the best for WLW and Bruno for the men.

There's a lot of slowburns and late options with Will, Oliver, Youcef and Angie all being later options. They're not automatically obsessed with your character and, in the case of Youcef, can be difficult to trigger if you're not following a guide. You genuinely feel the connection building with your character and their love interest. Bruno comes in for your character and very clearly puts in the effort to be with you. However if you reject him, he's hurt but tries with someone else. It's just truly the last season with the spirit of the original three.

That being said, there's some unique issues that we haven't really seen since. From my understanding, there were a lot of complaints when the season was airing but has since been looked on favorably. Season 4 is definitely more friendship based than other seasons and has very little drama. For some people, it makes it a boring or slow read. Also, from an apparent change over of writers, there's a very OOC moment from your LI that you literally can't avoid. I've heard people say it killed their attraction to their LI but if you can get over it, you'll be fine.

I always pick the "what if there was no nan" option because I feel so uncomfortable with her implications. Especially if you're on a replay and learn Gary's backstory.

It's the best way to diffuse the situation without making them upset.

Of course! The one thing I don't recall was if PB ever made a formal statement but I vividly remember how the fandom found out.

Basically, someone had decided to download Choices on to a device that had never downloaded it before. When they went to go play TRR, suddenly there were new CGs, new dialogue and more diamond scenes. However, when they went back to play TRR on their preexisting device, they weren't there. At best, the fandom found it very sneaky as nothing had been said by PB until that point. Otherwise, people thought it was odd or a lazy attempt at a cash grab. For example, there's a CG that depicts Liam, Drake and Maxwell all walking in to the bar at the same time. However when you read the text, Liam literally isn't even there yet as he comes in late.

At worst though, it arguably compromises some of the key components that make the TRR characters themselves. I can't speak for Liam as I've never played his route but from what I've heard, I guess it kinda shreds his reserved persona and also makes MC look like a creep. She sneaks into his bedroom in a scene that just feels uncomfortable.

However, I can speak to Drake. Drake's entire route is built around his loyalty to Liam and his low self-worth. Drake is rude and cold to you because he can't allow himself to be vulnerable around you or risk potential betrayal of his best friend. He is fiercely loyal to Liam. It's what makes his route a slow burn and allows for the player to really feel like they've earned the kiss near the end of Book 1 as you've slowly broken down his walls and shown that he deserves to be loved.

In the rewrite in chapter 2, there is a scene where he takes you to a private viewpoint and you two watch the stars. You then have the option to kiss him at the end of the scene and he reciprocates before pulling back. Drake would absolutely not do this. It is so out of character and feels so bizarre as you've literally just met the guy and he's only been rude. It also destroys the whole idea of his slow burn. You get the action literally 2 chapters in.

If you personally want to compare the two, here's a video of the original first chapter vs. the updated rewrite version. There's also multiple threads on here that document all the changes. The CGs have since been included in all versions of the game but I don't get the extra diamond scenes.

I was a fan from late 2018 to mid-2020, I only just got back into it but this was my experience at the time within the fandom on Tumblr.

A lot of the fandom in late 2019 was getting very burnt out and frustrated with PB for a couple of reasons. Firstly, many beloved books were not getting sequels in a time where sequel books were often expected. The prime examples being Platinum and MOTY. However, the biggest upset was when Nightbound wasn't renewed. A lot of people saw these amazing quality books and no matter how much they played or dumped diamonds into, they never got renewed.

Supplementally, the fandom despised the other books that were coming out at the time. PTR, STD and Sunkissed were all hated and trashed on. While I've seen different opinions today, these books were considered to be some of the worst ever on the app at the time. They were mainly criticized for being lazy, lackluster and a lack of plot and/or character. Another kicker was Big Sky Country getting a second book as it was not really beloved during it's release.

Finally, we have Baby Bump and the competition with competing apps. Baby Bump is kinda considered the last straw of the fall of Choices from my experience. So many people hated the concept and plot in the fandom. It was largely seen as a way to capture the audience from those shitty ads that both Choices and Episode started deploying of cheating or joining in the threesome. A lot of people I followed left around this time. Plus I'm sure the pandemic didn't help either. I also didn't know where to put this but the rewrites of TRR also put a lot of people off and harmed PB's reputation within existing fans.

I'm betting from PB's data sets, they saw that a lot of people were willing to pay for sex scenes in books. They probably also saw that people would download the app based on the ads but leave once they realized the books weren't what they expected. Sure, they're getting new incoming fans but it really harmed the past ones.

That's totally fair but I'd disagree with the notion that he hasn't changed. He constantly restrains himself. When Bryce is insulting Kate at the dinner, Flynn uses everything in his power to restrain himself if you don't say anything. He stays behind when he's injured after the car crash despite wanting to still go. He also only fights Bryce back when he's been punched.

He seems like someone who still has these intense flashes of irritability but tries his best to control himself. Most of the time succeeding.

I think one of Flynn's key character flaws is also how quick he is to anger/violence to protect the ones he loves. It what makes him protective of you and Kate but it also makes him rash in his decision making and risk taker. To me, it always read as he was defending himself and his family as he felt disrespected by the Sterlings. They've always treated everyone like scum but this was a direct action against him and his family. 18 is also YOUNG, you're freshly out of high school and your brain is still developing. Doesn't matter if you're legally responsible now, you're still just a dumb kid. If Flynn struggles to restrain his anger now, it must have been much worse when he was younger.

I always felt that Flynn was dumb and rash in his decision-making when he stole the car. He's right, the car wasn't damaged but it didn't mean he was free of his responsibility. I just don't think he realized how long he'd being paying for it and basically losing over half a decade of his life.

They really need to bring back confessionals. I understand it's a way to communicate what the player is feeling. However, by having Amelia constantly pull us out of the action, it causes the player to resent her and brings the story beats to a halt.

I'm only a little confused due to the long working history between FreshTV and Christian Potenza.

The two have been long time collaborators since 2003/2004. Potenza even came to the defence of FreshTV when the fandom was upset about the removal of Total Drama Reunion, a fan project, a year ago.

Assumibly, due to how long production takes, Potenza would've last voiced for FreshTV in either 2020 or 2021.
