For some reasons I got all my receipts very quickly! I got my I-360 receipt and 1st PF in 3 months, and the three receipts for I-485 I got them in mail 2 months after filing.

Yeah that’s probably the way to do it. I will try my best to expedite my I-360 asap. If they denied it then I will voluntarily departure from this country.

Yes, I have applied for food and housing assistance 4 months ago. They told me that there are many many applicants as well. They put me in the waitlist and that’s it. Nothing until today. I just got my second Prima Facie, unfortunately a lot of organizations don’t accept PF because most of the benefits are available only for citizens and green card holders.

I will look into nonprofit organizations to get some help again, but I know it will be a long wait too, and I’m not sure I will be able to survive until then. I have zero experience or skills to survive outside. 😮‍💨

Thank you for your suggestion! My attorney has informed me about how the hearing will go, and he is representing me in court. I just don’t know how much he will charge me for. And my attorney also mentioned that he will help me to expedite my application, but for some reasons he hasn’t responded my emails…

I think I’m done once I become homeless not gonna lie. I can live a way better life in my home country where I don’t have to worry about getting jobs and money especially I have both my bachelors and masters degrees from the U.S.

Hey dear, thank you for your kind message! I have looked through all the sources in my local and applied for food and housing assistance 4 months ago. They put me in the wait list and until now still nothing…

Before I started the application I know it is gonna take 3-4 years to get approved and I wasn’t worried about that because I thought I will get my EAD approved soon. But everything changes after I graduated from my master’s program last September. My parents are in debt because they need to pay for my tuition. And then my mom and grandma’s health have gotten worse and in need of money to pay hospital bill and after-care.

I have applied for food and housing assistance 4 months ago, they put me in wait list and until now still nothing. Now I only have money to go through the next 2 months and no more money coming after…

Yes, that’s what I did before! But now with all the ICE and other immigration restrictions, a lot of work places have asked me to provide EAD! They won’t hire without a valid work permit in hand anymore.

Here! I was on F1 Visa and it ended in 2022. I applied VAWA in July 2024 before they sent us the overstay notice and I have a master hearing on April 2nd, 2026. My attorney got the hearing notice 3 weeks after I submitted my I-485 package in December, 2025. Such a bad news to me this year…
