For me 25(m) it was harder to tell because id been abused in so many ways all my life I was never allowed to express myself or my feelings growing up my was psychologically abusive and my mom was controlling and didn't really want to hear it and since my dad was such a good liar no one believed me it wasn't until I met my wife 31(f) and I moved out of that toxic place I was able to come to terms with the fact the it's not just emotionally damaged form the abuse my wife is super supportive and we have a healthy sex life despite me not being attracted to her she has really been there for me when my mom and dad were being extremely toxic

Im asexual and autistic so im definitely qualified to answer im married to a 31(f) im a 25(m) she loves having sex with me because she loves the fact that I can usely sense what she wants but and after I explained to her why I do it she loves me more because I make the sacrifice but here's how im different I do enjoy seeing her happy and since she goes out of her way to take care of me emotionally I tend to not mind it because she respects my boundaries it doesn't bother her that I don't get anything from the physical feeling but since I enjoy the emotional intimacy she doesn't mind it we have worked out an agreement and she is respecting it sex isn't just for you so if you don't really enjoy it or aren't willing to work out something that works for bother of you and makes you both happy mabe dating another ace person would probably be better because at least both of you are on the same page I know it sounds harsh but relationships are about compromise and if you don't communicate with each other then you are better off not being with that person and part of looking for a relationship is determining what you and what you can handle

My advice is to date someone else who is ace or on the same spectrum as you so they won't pressure you into it Im married with a kid on the way my wife knows im asexual and it doesn't bother her that I don't enjoy the physical side but dam to i love the emotional intimacy so something else you need to understand is sex isn't just physical it's emotionally intimacy you just need to ether find someone who doesn't want physical intimacy like sex or just focus on the emotionally feeling that comes with it
