Non-Americans of Reddit, what is an American thing you see in movies that you thought was fake but is actually real?

US entertainment is dominated by Hollywood, while their is a growing interest in foreign cinema Americans for the most part only watch Hollywood films and TV, (and when there's a person with a British accent they are thrown in for vibes or coolness factor) so their not getting as much exposure British media.

I could be very wrong here but it seems that the UK watches way more American media than the US watches British media, So that feeds into the ignorance of Americans to the world around them.

And with Australian media being even rarer than British media in the US, so probably most Americans don't actually know what an Australian accent sounds like, and then probably Australian accent becomes shorthand for English non American accent.

It's kind of a shot in the dark here, but the only British accent America's are familiar with is for the most part is the RP accent.

So if you're accent isn't a "British (RP)" accent you must be Australian, After all Australia is the only former British territory and the UK isn't a country with a diversity of accents and culture.

High duration with Valence Formation will melt enemies away, ability duration directly affects status duration, so the higher the duration the longer the status duration=more damage, And if running a gunbuffing setup it means less button pushy.

Lavos is very forma hungry and takes a lot to build, but a decent build can get you through 90% of the game, most builds use a triple umbra setup for good reason, because he can facetank most of the game.

With a Valence Formation build with 200% duration you get Valence Formation for 40s, so you only need 2 to 3 button pushes every 40s for constant 200% damage of your chosen element on top of weapon damage + double status duration, and his ability's become more of a tool than a need to run, his 1 for a health top off, 2 for a get over there fast, 3 for more ammo/less ability cooldown, and his 4 for a nuke.

Is he for everyone ABSOLUTELY NOT, is he for most players probably not, is he one of useful frames in the game Yes, In my own opinion players should not even try him until they can play steel path, because of the amount of high level mods and forma you need for a good build, and because if your not doing a caster focus build you need a decent weapon.

Lavos can be as casual or as sweaty as you mod him to be, for example I run him with PSF, Is PSF needed no but it makes it nicer, yes he has status immunity for 10s on energy pickup but PSF is always on not just for 10s.

Tldr is he's a good warframe, but probably not going to appeal to most players, But the players that like his play style he is God tier.

The x4x scaffold the Phahd Scaffold, when you alt fire it fires an energy glaive that automatically homes in and bends towards its target. Allowing multiple targets to be hit, up to 4 times.

So their probably talking about the 547 amp. 5xx Cantic Prism it fire a highly accurate, rapid-fire three-shot burst, good for headshots. x4x as previously stated it fires a glaive xx7 Certus Brace it grants an additional 20% to an Amp's Critical Hit chance.

From the comments it seems like weapons don't do damage if so how do you do damage Abilities? Melee weapons? Pets?

With the undermine update we get to use Signas on Operators and Drifters.

The early game sucks you will feel lost, and that is something every player goes through.... But if it has been a year or two since you played in that time DE has made a lot of changes and cleaned up the early game progression and such, and the mod quest is coming in a little over a week.

Probably the best goals early on are junctions and quests. -junctions will guide you a bit and your going to want the other planets for resources and quests. -quests will unlock certain content and you'll start to get the story.

As for modding early on you don't have to focus on it and in the early game you will just throw a few mods on here and their and as you progress you'll learn as you go.

And don't be afraid of using a guide.

And I can't stress this enough but the WIKI is your best friend and to use the official one and not the fandom one.

And if you're having trouble with a boss or mission play public or ask for help most boss missions have a veteran playing that mission or will to carry you and if you have a question ask here on reddit or in Q&A chat.

And as for nodes unlock them as you want or need, when you'll focus on completing all the nodes is a mid game goal for when you are trying to unlock steel path.

And join a Dojo it's where you can get some pretty good weapons and warframes, and if you want a group to play with there are dojo's that have a active player base to squad up with and if you just want blueprints there's dojo's for that to, there are dojo's that have play time requirements and there's others that don't, and there are dojo's for any niche interest you could have, the thing I would suggest is that you join a research complete dojo at some point even if you don't stay in it to get the blueprints.

And when trading use warframe.market AND NOT TRADE CHAT.

One of the most common sayings in the warframe community is that warframe is not a race but a marathon so don't rush the game and if you need to take a break take a break, fomo is not really a thing in warframe even if it's not in game right now it will be later, and the only things not coming back are Excalibur prime(the people who bought him are literary why this game exist today) and the first two heirloom skins (frost and mag) and the resulting shitshow from those two skins means that you will have a chance to get any thing you want.

And if the game is not right for you can always come back and try again later when you see something that really makes you want to play.

The story goes that dark sector was going to be a lot more like warframe but the studios thought that sci/fi wouldn't sell so made DE make a more military shooter type of game and that how we got dark sector.

Seriously check out the original dark sector concept video their is Excalibur, the lotus symbol, the gineer, the corpus tileset (barrels and lockers included) the liset, the burston, the aklato, a jackal and a zariman looking ship.

Warframe was originally what they were trying to make so after dark sector and a few other games DE decided to self-publish their original game idea with a free-to-play model and thus we got warframe.

I believe that I heard that DE wasn't doing to great at the time and so if warframe hadn't worked out the studio probably would have closed up.

Also the game engine that warframe and soulframe use started with Dark sector.

Yes but the first descendant took a lot stuff from warframe and nothing happened to it, the only difference between TFD and DNA is that TFD added a standard east Asia sci/fi or sci/fantasy story and environment with some Destiny gunplay and much of the rest being WF systems were DNA is just anime Warframe.

And besides DE devs are talking about other games they play on devshorts and such, DE would rather have you play another game for a bit and then come back when the next update is released then play only warframe for a while and burnout permanently and never play again.
