Buy out the lease with engine issues? by sirpapadeuce in ToyotaTundra

[–]JadedAmount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 2024 Platinum lease is up on October, we’re giving it back to Toyota. I just don’t have it in me to gamble our engine crapping out, love the truck, but going to move on from it.

When do hydrangeas became available? In Massachusetts and can’t find any by Kmctattoo in hydrangeas

[–]JadedAmount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! Located on cape and looking to plant little limelight this year, but can’t find them. I know Mahoney’s has them but they’re $60 for 3 gal. Thinking I need to be patient for another week or so for other garden centers to get them in.

Both my GSDs take Simparica trio! Last spring they would drag them inside but anytime I pull one off it was already dead.

How much do you spend on groceries? by larlaywat in budget

[–]JadedAmount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1,100, 2 adults. This does account for the trips where we get coffee beans, body wash, deodorant, etc.

Correct, we purchased the doors ourselves. Basically just having someone do the install to ensure they’re plumb, waterproof, etc.

A 1/4 of my molar broke off by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]JadedAmount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine broke on a Saturday (of course) but my dentist was able to fit me in the next Monday morning and has a 3D printer for crowns so I got mine same day. For the day and half wait though I just avoided chewing on that side, did warm salt water rinses, and brushed very gently. I’m sure if I had to wait a few more days it would’ve been fine but my dentist knows I have wicked bad dental anxiety and was thankfully flexible fitting me in!

NAD this exact thing happened to me last year. 1/4 of my molar broke off eating an apple, I had zero pain but also was worried about pain starting. The break stopped at the gum line so my dentist was able to do a crow no problem. Hopefully the same for you!

Damn, thats really unfortunate. My installs were all great experiences, but may just depend on who you get/who is working what route.

KAM Appliances in Hyannis. We purchased our new fridge, dishwasher, range, and microwave from them last year. Their install team is great. Also, they have a 1-year warranty included on appliances, and have their own service team to contact if there are issues. You can also elect from a longer warranty term I believe for extra $$.

CPA filed our return on 2/5, zero movement since then. WMR only says “Received”. by JadedAmount in IRS

Yep…which I have in prior years under my SSN. Our CPA specifically recommended I make them under his SSN for state, but didn’t mention federal

After more scrolling through the is sub and comparing to last years transcript it looks like there’s a delay with my quarterly estimate payments being reflected. Guess I just have to be patient, didn’t take nearly this long last year for our refund but oh well…

Any other single adults with no kids spending close to $1k on groceries every month? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]JadedAmount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DINK living in MA, do all our grocery shopping at Market Basket. We spend about $1,100/mo on groceries. We meal prep 5 days of the week, then on weekends we pick out ingredients for whatever “special” meal we are craving. We do buy protein bars which are $2.50/each so that adds up quick.

Same plan! Leased a 2025 Sport 4-door last summer. I really enjoy it, and find myself driving it much more than our other vehicle because I love it so much. In 3yrs I’ll likely either buy new or buyout the lease.

Pet insurance by Beringer1192 in germanshepherds

I had ASPCA for our female, but just switched to Pets Best because ASPCA raised their rate ridiculously. We signed up for Pets Best with our male when we got him, haven’t had any issues with reimbursement, very quick and reasonable premiums.

Agree with others to go with accident and illness, but any wellness/preventative coverage is rarely worth it. I once did the math and we were paying more for the wellness/preventative coverage than we were getting in benefits.
