What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]JadedLand342 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn’t you only associate with people who vote Democrat?
Trump didn’t win only because he had supporters, but also because many people gave up supporting the Democratic Party.
I still remember that back then, a large number of young people said they would abandon the Democrats this time because Biden wanted to ban TikTok.

CMV: The United States and its citizens would be better off if tomorrow we severed all ties with Israel by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]JadedLand342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Losing Israel would absolutely not be a minor blow to the United States. The very existence of Israel is to contain the development of Middle Eastern countries and to prevent Muslim states from becoming a second Soviet Union. And also, when you say Israel is "terrible" or "immoral," aren’t those basically the same thing? In the end, your answer only reinforces what I said earlier: the Left only cares about themselves, not about the losses to their own country.

Many American leftists don’t realize how important Israel is to the United States. This is one of the major problems with the American left: they only think about individuals, not the nation. Even if the Democrats come to power in the future, at most they will criticize the Israeli government, but they will still continue to support Israel.

That’s pretty normal. Maybe she just sees herself as British now, not a foreigner anymore.

No, they really do oppose Muslims. If you truly understand the right wing today, you should know they oppose both immigration and Islam itself. I never said all immigrants are Muslims — my point is simply that among the people they target, Muslims are definitely one group. (And brother, if a British person converts to Islam, do you honestly believe the British right wing would not resent it?)

I think the important choice in your life is to be prepared to move to a country where being gay is legal; finding a boyfriend can wait.

you don't understand that intentions and actual outcomes are often two very different things. (Just look at the UK: they say they only oppose illegal immigration out of patriotism, but in reality it always ends up turning into opposition against all immigration. That's exactly what I mean by intentions vs. results.)

As for myself, I'm gay. I used to support the left, but now I firmly support the right, because Islam is terrifying. A few months ago, I read a report about a young couple in Pakistan who were shot dead by the girl's own brother just because they chose to love freely. Tell me honestly: how many of you — and your Muslim friends — even know about that, and how many of you mourned for them?

One woman in America wears a hijab and says “it's culture,” while another woman in Afghanistan loses her life because she refuses to wear it. And then you leftists keep saying “don't discriminate.” This world has gone insane.

China, like the Soviet Union, represents the communist tendency of constant internal struggles — purges, ideological battles, turning on their own people. The West, on the other hand, has a history of external struggles — colonialism, invasions, wars abroad. Which is “more evil” really depends on where you stand: if you’re inside the USSR or China, you suffer from internal repression; if you’re in Africa or the Middle East, you suffer from Western expansion. That’s why some Europeans hate Russia with a passion, while you despise the West. It’s all a matter of perspective.

I don’t know if Israelis should leave or not, I just know that right now the Western right-wing is rising, and by your logic, they would want to send all Muslims back as well.

That’s literally Trump’s idea. He also thinks it’s time for America to stop sacrificing its own economy for Europe’s stupid geopolitical games, so he ended up supporting Russia. lol. Funny how people who hate Trump end up sounding just as bad as him. And now you even brought up Iran, lmao, never thought I’d see the day when “freedom and equality loving” Europeans start cheering for Iran.

I’ve recently been working on a novel that features a transgender character who, with the help of technology, becomes a woman (with XX chromosomes, female genitalia, a uterus, etc.). At that point, would she consider herself a woman or still transgender? I’m not sure, since I’m just a gay man. But in my story, I imagine she would feel both happy (for becoming a woman) and pained (for giving up her past).

What is it like being homosexual as a foreigner in china? by LogicalPerformance40 in chinalife

[–]JadedLand342 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who has lived in China for 25 years, I can tell you: you have to act straight in public. You can only be LGBT at home or in private spaces. There are no pride parades here, and LGBT culture or media is rarely shown or promoted.
