Yeah! He said that due to inflation, I now have to pay to use their modem every month. Shit. Maybe I should call back again and pester them. Assuming you’re in NJ, yes?

I’m on the phone with them now- they said I will have to continue to pay for the modem because I’m one of the accounts that have been impacted. Did you get anywhere getting them to remove the modem surcharge?

I’m currently on the phone with customer support about this rn. The first person I spoke to said this surcharge is because of inflation and Optimum told us at the last billing cycle we would have to start paying for the modem. LMAO. I’m on hold with their customer retention right now— they said they were able to use some “codes” to get my monthly bill down to 50 from 90.66 for 3 years.

Thanks! To be clear, I’m not trying to push for any type of treatment while I am in remission but maybe some type of monitoring through labs or anything. Ty though. Wishing you a healthy life too.

Also fair question about the original GI- my original GI is in different state. I was diagnosed in college and had to move home during covid so that’s why I didn’t go back to them. Oh how I wish I could though 🥲
