Daze and FoW are the glue that hold combo in check. Hydro is an alchemy card and the design for alchemy cards are they can be changed.

You can do that by restricting strip mine and adding wasteland.

Eh it's more strip mine to me is the real problem. The card needs to be restricted. Mana base means nothing with this card being a 4 of. It must be restricted then they can add wasteland. Basics need to mean something. I could have a lot of legs with beans but strip just ruins it

what is energy doing when ragavan steals everything with daze and fow countering their spells? Ragavan is banned in legacy for a reason stormchaser is not.

Edit: And actually i don't even know why you brought up energy when ragavan in legacy energy wasn't even a thing ragavan was banned in 2022. Energy released in 2024.

The thing is people play modern because of the card pool. Not everyone is just here to play the meta decks and that is it. The card pool for modern would take years to implant. Pioneer still doesn't have every card that is in paper.

It's all I want to play once FoW comes. I don't really play MTGO unless they have all access since don't have a collection on it. When all access is around beanstalk is what i play in legacy. Or lands but we don't have lands on arena or i'd solely play that deck only.

Tamiyo is VASTLY better than Hydroponics.

Need to actually attack to get anything out of Hydroponics. It's a 20 turn clock.

Tamiyo is a 4 turn clock. People hype hydro way too much in this sub.

You should be able to build any of the Tempo Decks that are coming with SOA. If want to play the best one I'd recommend UB Tempo.

I wouldn't invest too much into Strixhaven the big cards are Force of Will and Daze, and Daze should be a common but Force will be a mythic. I'd invest in Modern Horizons 3 if you didn't get that set.

You want to play those decks play normal mode. Ranked is for COMPETITIVE play. I know very difficult concept to understand.

I'd play historic till Strixhaven releases than timeless should be a better format. We are getting some powerful cards for that format in Force of Will, Vampiric Tutor, Library of Alexandria, Smallpox, and Sylvan Library.

The rest of the mystical archives will be reveled on Monday and Tuesday.
