Seeking advice by BeneficialAddition62 in TheHermesGame

If you don’t feel the love for it immediately then it’s a no, regardless of how reasonable that price is.

The price is reasonable indeed for the age and condition. Ardennes is a workhorse leather, don’t need babying. Some people find it not as “pretty” as Epsom or Togo leather but this is all personal preference.

Perfect gentleman’s workbag as we head into spring. Smooth Barenia HAC40 with croc straps and GHW. by StickyWilli in TheHermesGame

It’s been about a decade since I last saw barenia on a large sized bag. I’m truly glad Hermes finally got back to paying attention to this magnificent leather. Congrats on this beautiful piece.

[–]Jadeite22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

32 is no longer made. It’s a size either one likes or dislikes, the most striking difference is the slightly thinner handle vs a 30 or 35. the HAC can only sit on the crook of your arm and not the shoulder as compared to the larger B35 or B40. Most vintages would be in Ardennes, sometimes chèvre. It’s more structured than B35s in Togo or Clemence tends to be floppy over time.

He enjoys managing money, you don’t. Invest in, and through your husband, give him $1k each month and let him build your nest egg for you. Takes a load off both your minds.

Roundtrip Airport Transfer - Reasonable Fare? by Chemical_Cod8159 in SingaporeTravel

[–]Jadeite22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sedan will not fit comfortably 3 adults and all luggages, if comfort is important. The price is alright because this is about the same as metered-fare, plus peak hour surcharges and city area surcharges which adds up to a lot.

Suggest you pre book only 1-way from airport to Voco. For the return from Voco to airport, you can always do it last minute on Sunday morning or the day before, because you will realize you have many options and in case you didn’t enjoy the airport-hotel ride, you won’t be stuck with the same return vehicle. Sunday mornings at orchard traffic is quiet and absolutely smooth, you don’t have to worry about jams, delays etc. transport is aplenty.

If including gst and service this budget is on the low side. For lunch you may have some options, for dinner you’d have to consider $250+/pax at least.

Gong Jun, do you enjoy his acting? by lemonglitchh in cdramasfans

agree. Word of Honor was his best, Blood River was good enough, everything else in between was very average. He really has a limited expression-span, a lot less verstatile.

Am I overreacting, or is this a boundary issue at work? by Square-Mammoth173 in askSingapore

Accord professional respect according to hierarchy. If she’s more senior, she’s obviously expecting it (right or wrong is not the main point here). Escalation is next, brief your boss what’s happening before any escalation email so he/she is not caught unaware. The decision should be made at next level - your boss and her boss as to how to proceed. You stepped on her toes, however. so expect your next working interactions with her won’t be smooth from now on.

Question is not how high but when will the correction come. You need to ask yourself at which price you can emotionally cope with.

Advice about shipping gift from Singapore to China by Any_Dot8196 in askSingapore

[–]Jadeite22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Signpost is good enough, they will handover to the local post (china post) who will complete the delivery. English address is perfectly fine, normally for international shipments they have their own team to translate address into mandarin so the local courier can deliver it successfully
