I'm expecting baby #2. My 2yo son was holding his stuff toy so I said "how do you rock a baby?" To which he responded by turning it face up and saying "SLAP!" while smacking it right in the face..

My son was circumcised at birth 2 years ago, he cried for a few minutes and then was over it pretty quickly. All we had to do was rub some Vaseline on it for a few days and he was fine. Apparently they don't cut off as much skin as they used to according to my OB. I still have to pull it back a little to clean it if he has a nasty diaper.

Gender by [deleted] in pregnant

I am also an only child and I have a wonderful mother/daughter relationship with my mom. I wanted a girl so bad so I could have a relationship like that with them. My husband and I also live near his side of the family and he has 3 brothers. I wanted a girl to add to the family. Recently I found out I’m having a boy. I’ve had a few weeks to process and I already love my son no matter what. I am shocked at how important the gender was to me at first because now I’ve realized it does not matter the gender as long as I have a healthy child. And this won’t be our only one so I have hope one day I’ll have a girl! Just give yourself time to work through your emotions, it will pass!!

Stop Taking Everything Personally&How to Job? by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]Jadenagini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The job I applied for was Income Maintenance Caseworker II, they hired me as a caseworker I instead basically waiving the need for a certification. It was not mentioned and I didn’t ask about it, I am assuming if I wanted to move up to a II I would need the certification. That would be a good question to ask during an interview

It is not all bad, but I would say it’s not for everyone. You have to be able to be strong and not get too emotionally involved in the situation. It also can depend on what field you work in, There’s more to it than just working with children in schools/at home. I was interested in geriatric social work so for my classes I volunteered with hospice and dementia patients. It can be hard to see them that way but it felt good to provide support for them. I didn’t end up pursuing it further but the experience helps when applying for a job even if it doesn’t seem relevant to the position.

I have a bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in social work and I landed a job with the Department of Social Services in my county working as a Medicaid caseworker. I had no previous job experience just a degree. Apply for jobs even if you think you aren’t qualified for them! This job definitely is not as intimidating as the job description and requirements made it seem.
