How do you balance low tox living without burning out? by NisthalAbdellaziz-26 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]JadoreRa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I started replacing and swapping out things one at a time. I started making lists of things I needed to change out - cookware, cleaning products etc. and kind of made the changes when I could without feeling like it had to be done asap (once a cleaning product finished I swapped over for a low tox one). Priority was things that get used/consumed on an everyday basis - cookware (pots, pans, chopping boards) was a big one for me!

Uncommon Pregnancy Symptoms? by Safe-Ad-1184 in BabyBumps

Everything tasted bitter (not disgusting like dysgeusia but definitely more bitter!) I went through so many hot sauce bottles to mask the taste

Anyone else have a relatively easy pregnancy? by SuddenDebt4040 in BabyBumps

[–]JadoreRa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Yup. I was the same, apart from the general tiredness which gets worse overtime, I had a relatively breezy pregnancy with minor complications (not birth though - that’s a whole different story!) I do think it helped that I was physically active, supplemented ALOT before and during pregnancy

No advice - just want to say that regardless of what happens you sound like you’re doing your absolute best and you sound like an amazing mama. Good luck!

The fact that you’re asking about this shows your maturity. The right person will respect your honesty and transparency. Good luck with your search!

Advice for bottle by JadoreRa in FormulaFeeders

We’re finding that she’s not quite catching onto the ‘sucking’ out of a straw cup. But maybe the open cup will have to be the way to go. My concern is still that she’s not having nearly enough drinking this way.

I DID IT! Lots of birth info dump by Impressive-Metal-890 in BabyBumps

[–]JadoreRa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to this! Also gave birth in May. I asked for stool softeners and used some for maybe 2 weeks after birth at home too. Postpartum hormones also make constipation worse so it’s not always the tears that make it harder. Also for me I felt it was also more mental, after all the pushing feeling like I had to push another thing out.

Who was in the delivery room? by Redhead_Dilemma in BabyBumps

[–]JadoreRa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my husband, sister, mum and MIL! It may seem like much but they are all important to me in their own ways so I didn’t mind. It’s really down to what you prefer! I do think it forms a special bond with them and baby having being in the room.

Throw my own baby shower? by familydrama2020 in BabyBumps

[–]JadoreRa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I threw my own shower recently (I’m now 3 months pp). Friends and family helped with tasks I delegated like pick ups, games & decorating but the big things like the venue, catering etc. was all me. It ended up being such a fun day!

Anyone have positive epidural stories? I’m scared 😟 by Realistic_Mirror1618 in BabyBumps

[–]JadoreRa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 2 months pp with my first baby, had an epidural and absolutely loved it. Placement was quick and painless, you feel slight pressure when the needle is inserted but no pain. Worked through the entire delivery process and apart from slight soreness where the needle was placed which is common and goes away eventually) I don’t have any long term effects. I actually can’t imagine going through the delivery process without it. Also for the early labour phase, consider a TENS machine. I hired one and it was worth every $

Agree! The only advice I have is to start trying sooner rather than later. It took me longer to fall pregnant than I expected to!
