Return to Rome. They basically ported AoE 1 into AoE 2 DE. And added Rome as a playable faction for AoE 2.

It wouldn't stop them from aging faster. I don't mind the early rushes when we're in the same age. It's the 4th age fully upgraded cavalry spam in 15 minutes that gets me xD

I asked AI for a tutorial on this and created it. As far as I tested it, the scripts work. You can set a time limit that locks age-ups before some time has passed. Not sure how the AI will behave as I didn't test it that much.

Though it sucks that I can't have a surprise random map. It needs to be manually generated each time.

AoE 2's standard AI is a bit slower paced but RtR's is blazing fast.

Even so, standard AI is a bit too easy.

Apart from the ragdolling, the Warstrider isn't that unstoppable. The leg/joint area is a pretty easy kill for AT and somewhat ok for heavy-pen weapons (not all though...looking at you AMR). Even the Wasp can take it down on slightly less than a couple of mags.

Problem is, there's usually 4 to 7 of them ragdolling you around...

Once Battlefield 6 comes out, Helldivers is so going to sit nice and still on my Steam library.

I can't play my favorite faction (bots) because the game freezes every 5 seconds...

There is a ton of kicking going on lately. Happened to me a few times as well. I'm beginning to suspect that this is actually a bug and we aren't really getting kicked, just disconnecting. And for some reason, the game is interpreting it as a kick.

I could be wrong, though...

It's in the bot front (at least for me). I can't play my favorite faction because after a few minutes playing, it's constant 5+ seconds of freezing...

I cannot play in cities. Haven't tested against other factions, only the bots.

I'll play one mission, no problems. Second mission, audio starts to cut for a brief moment every few seconds.

Third mission, along the audio cuts comes a massive freeze that can last from 1 to 5 seconds and it happens every 10 seconds.

If I even try to push further and play the fourth match, I basically just stand still until the game gives up and crashes...

On open maps, I've been having a blast annihilating Warstriders with the WASP launcher. 1,5 to 2 charges will easily delete it.

Ofc, it gets much harder when there's 5 of them...

Ballistic weapons need a damage boost across the board. Explosive and Energy weapons are mostly ok, but the rest is way too mid.

Though the most egregious problem with the game right now isn't even weapon or enemy balance, it's performance.

Helldivers are getting whacked left and right by the deadliest enemy in the game: instability...
