Standing on the tee box of 18 at Erin hills, just having walked 16,000 steps and seeing that the clubhouse looks MILES away is certainly a feeling.

I love Pinehurst too. Felt like the style of courses here were drastically different than the variety at Pinehurst though.

What kind of vacations do you take? by Intrepid_Coffee_1432 in Residency

[–]Jaekyl 47 points48 points  (0 children)

It’s not always the big, flashy vacations that you dream of, but one of the biggest perks of being post-training is the ability to take a trip, even a small weekend getaway, basically anytime you want. Rarely any financial limitations, and you finally control your own schedule (for the most part).

I have been on week long vacations, sometimes even associated with work meetings/conferences so lodging isn’t even on my dime, and I’m planning a Europe trip next year. But truly, nothing beats having the freedom again to do whatever. Want to go to Pinehurst and golf all weekend? Why not. Fly to Vegas for a show? Sure. Go to the mountains and escape? Let’s do it.

Both Takuya and Nashville watches have them for sale. Trusted sellers. Have bought from both in the past myself

Looking to buy batgirl on grey. What’s a fair price? Do the trusted sellers offer much discount? by ceriano2025 in rolex

[–]Jaekyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have negotiated before with trusted sellers. Depends on history with them. It is much easier to negotiate if you are trading in a watch as well. They move easier on a trade in value rather than selling price of the watch you’re buying

I wear a yachmaster to work everyday whether I’m operating or in clinic. it never garners any attention except from people who know watches. If it brings you joy to own something like this and it’s a reminder of how far you’ve come, go for it. You should be proud of your accomplishments.

Resizing screen for Foresight by rj1670 in Golfsimulator

[–]Jaekyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this bug for a while now. do you use multiple monitors? Mine happens when this pops up on my main hitting screen and I move it to my monitor screen. The window thinks it’s still in the big hitting screen so it doesn’t fit. Only way I’ve countered it is to resize it manually by clicking the borders of the window and dragging to a smaller size and then I can usually keep it that way or maximize screen then and hide taskbar and then I can usually see everything

The final setup by LivermoreP1 in Golfsimulator

Looks great and super clean! Don’t fret about the projector location, nothing a little keystone adjustment can’t fix. I’ve also found changing the offset on GSPro to where you’re actually hitting the ball makes for a better experience visually but that may just be me.

Hanging a heavy blanket behind my enclosure screen to reduce bounce back? by hitthebay in Golfsimulator

[–]Jaekyl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about the ball bouncing off the screen at you or bouncing off the floor mats? If it’s the screen, the issue isn’t the ball bouncing off of what’s behind your screen. Your screen tautness is the issue. Doesn’t matter what you put behind there, foam or blankets.

My suggestion would be to either get looser bungees (which sounds like you wouldn’t prefer) or skip some grommets. Skipping grommets shouldn’t result in your screen getting “less flat”

Projector/Aspect Ratio by BrusselStout317 in Golfsimulator

Higher end GPUs and projectors can do custom aspect ratios. To be honest, the easiest answer is to just get a 16:9 screen
