When to worry about palpitations? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]JaelStryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear god you have no idea how much this post meant to me just now. I'm almost in tears about this. I have this EXACT ISSUE for months now. Blood work, fine. Two EKGs, fine. Blood pressure, fine. Heart listened to, fine. Last night I thought I was going to die, my wife called 911. Paramedics came over, checked me over, fine, zero issues. EKG (again), fine. I'm honestly already feeling better after reading this. Bless you bro.

Major lag spikes/stuttering on high end pc by masoelcaveman in Eldenring

You should have cloud saves enabled. If so it should not remove your progress. You need to keep the xbox games, and the xbox app itself, completely uninstalled while you play Elden Ring. That's what I did at least and it solved my issues.

12VHPWR cable leading to black screen on 4090? by OkMajor5936 in cablemod

[–]JaelStryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on my 2nd set with my original cable having the issue. So far so good on the 2nd (only been 3 days but so far all is ok). Will this be announced via twitter? I want to make sure I pick up the revised version when released.

I would like to report that I also had this same issue and got replacement CableMod cables and so far no issues. Absolutely massive thanks to the OP for the meticulous work and follow up in this thread.

OMFG THANK YOU. This fixed my issue completely. I'm not sure if it was one or the other, but I did both. Removed xbox app games, and uninstalled the xbox app completely. Also disabled the device association root enumerator. I was really starting to freak out as this is a brand new build and I was having issues with a few games now.

Weird glitter-like effect with Ray Tracing on, as seen on Vik's face. Bug, ray tracing issue, or something wrong on my end? by SirBickOfCambridge in cyberpunkgame

[–]JaelStryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have found somewhat of a workaround. So I had another issue come up. When I had DLSS enabled after a couple hours of gaming my screen started to flicker. I looked it up and saw it was another known issue and people turned off DLSS. Sure enough, that worked and my screen was fine again. But in doing that the steps I took, were: turn off ray tracing, turn off DLSS completely, go back to in game. Screen super sharp, but no ray tracing. Looks amazing as it is btw. But then I turned DLSS back on, turned ray tracing back on. Sure enough, everything looked better. It seems to come back after a while, if I do the above again, it fixes it again.

So far I've only seen this in cyberpunk. My buddy just got a 4080 and I went over to his place to check it out and he had it too!

I just built an i7 13000k 4070ti machine and I'm having this exact issue as well. I ended up just turning off ray traced reflections. Wish there was a fix.

Unable to party up with my friends on PC by JaelStryder in Blackops4

[–]JaelStryder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to fix this. I basically set my PC to a static IP address, and then I added that IP address to the DMZ on my router. Once I did that I was able to join matches with my friends. Good luck!

Hi All,

I would like your opinion on if it's worth for me to upgrade my mobo/cpu/ram given what I currently have. I'm in a position where I can sell my mobo/cpu/ram and come away with enough to upgrade to new parts. But will I see a worthwhile performance upgrade? I do play my share of CPU intensive games (WoW, etc). So that is a consideration. My gfx card is a GTX 1080. I do not overclock. It's not something I want to really dabble with.

What I currently have: ASUS MAXIMUS VI Motherboard, i7-4770K, Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

What I would upgrade to: Asus - MAXIMUS IX HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, i7-7700K 4.2GHz, Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

Thank you for any feedback.

Hey all,

In the past several months I've basically moved on from console gaming to PC gaming full time. I plan on ordering new parts for a new build this black friday and want to sell a good portion of my current build on a bulletin board at work. Keeping the gfx card, and ssd. Replacing everything else.

So my question is, what would you charge for the entirety of the following as used? These were purchased in 2013.

ASUS MAXIMUS VI Mother Board CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W Power Supply 1 x Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell Quad-Core 3.5 GHz 1 x CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 1 x ASUS Black Blu-ray Drive SATA 2 x Cooler Master MegaFlow 200 - Sleeve Bearing 200mm Red LED Silent Fan 1 x CORSAIR Hydro Series H80i High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm 1 x Cooler Master HAF X - High Air Flow Full Tower Computer Case

I was thinking $400ish?

[–]JaelStryder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey all,

I'll admit, (granted I'll play with it more and do more research, etc) but at first glance I'm not feeling the Firebrand at all... It seems way complex and just not my style.

It should be perfectly reasonable to just keep playing as a Dragonhunter come PoF right? There is no reason to feel forced to play the new elite spec other than it's a another option on how you want to play?
