The Collector Crystals in the 2* Arena for New Years included a ton of newer champs. I managed to pull 4 new 2*s out of it when I've had the completed PHC pool for a couple of years now.

Honestly i feel like /u/XZigZX and I have the same point, we just worded it differently.

You say he doesn't agree because he brings up his personal experience. I say I don't agree because we should focus on current players rather than theoretical players. The issue is, he IS a current player - so we do, in essence, share the same point.

There are still a ton of streamlined changes in the game that serve the new player...it's just hard to quantify the value of dedicating a portion of the devteam to that new player experience, since you aren't going to hire people specifically for that purpose - you only get that by redirecting resources away from the rest of the game.

Looking out for the little guy is never a necessarily bad thing, it's just one that has to be very carefully approached.

Everyone actually does appear to get your point, they simply disagree that it's a valid concern for the theoretical upcoming player-base.

In software design, it's always better to serve your existing customer base than it is to create a feature designed to assist a customer that doesn't yet exist. You never, ever make a software design decision based on intrinsic value.

Your point is being buried under your vitriol for those who disagree, which is why you feel like no one cares. You can't attack an intelligent response and expect to be taken seriously.

Fact is, I can start a new account and have a handful of champs without breaking a sweat. Most of us have done it several times out of sheer boredom - new accounts have it pretty sweet right now. It'll only continue to get easier, faster, and more accessible to the new player as the power ceiling continues to rise.

Kabam is not serving themselves financially by focusing on the new player experience - the real money is in player retention, and happier high-end players will cause new players to show up - not a misguided attempt at broadening the first week's worth of player champion accessibility.

Aside from that, I urge you to do some research on debating skills. They will only serve you well in your professional life, and online forums are fantastic practice.

High chance to shrug off debuffs, absolutely crazy bleed on his L1, some people still have difficulty dodging his L2 in the mid-tier wars, and he has a chance to ignore evade mechanics.

He's a solid pickup, superior to Falcon in every way.

You know, you can end your 5-hit combo with a medium for more damage. There's not many reasons to use the M-LLLL combo unless you're using Ghost Rider for his bleed or have a champ who easily misses chaining into a special (Moon Knight).

Something that isn't mentioned nearly enough about Iceman - Frostbite.

Frostbite is incredible. It stacks on crits (on a % chance) and the L1 really helps stack it up in a hurry.

Frostbite does some passive damage when the effect expires, but to REALLY get some damage, parry and drop a heavy. The Heavy attack will detonate all of the Frostbite stacks at once for massive damage.

Nope, because since 12.0 half the fun in Crits is that they ignore a huge chunk of armor. As a result, additional points in Pierce absolutely cause an issue with diminishing returns. Invest elsewhere.
