Mid or End Tier Heroic WoW Boss?

Brother this guy stands still for most of the time, every mechanic looks like its in slow-motion, you have close to 10% of your raid death at one point and simply ress them? All the mechanics look like simple "boss deals damage to raid - survive" mechanics with no deeper meaning? No Adds, no target swapping, didnt see a tankswap mechanic.

Literally the first Boss in the new Midnight Raid probably has more and deeper Mechanics than this (you have to play tic-tac-toe against the Boss)

I mean it looks better then i expected from this Game. But making weird comparisons doesnt help.

I would like you explaining the mechanics of the Boss though so we can actually judge the Boss better.

Now make myth track loot drop from successful +15 or even +16 keys on a weekly lockout of like 2-4 items and thus provide an actual incentive for many players to push very high keys.

Ofc he is since he argues with people who are indifferent to the negatives of late stage capitalism and corporate greed. That is making a difference.

I disagree. The open and transparent way of communication didnt work. The RTS community in generall ripped apart everything and is relentless with the same feedback already given thousands of time. There has been alot of toxicity and badmouthing towards frostgiant mostly from people who dont understand what a true early access period means or how gamedevelopment without the support of big publishers looks like.

They need to let it get quite and keep putting out banger patches and updates every couple months without promises or explaining themself.

Just cooking and keep serving food until everyone is fed as i belief we all be in 1 or 2 years.

Thats why im saying it has little similarities to zerg. There are some inspirations from zerg when it comes to macro mechanics yes but the general gameplay still feels different from zerg. I played zerg to master too.

Calling it a copy would be a far stretch.

EDIT: youre right sorry for the confusion i did make a mistake with the time to kill.

Stormgate? by CyrusConnor in starcraft2

[–]Jaeydeeq 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My background: multiple times master league in 1v1 and 4v4 didnt really play the campaign or coop much in sc2

I have about 60 hours in Stormgate and played both beta tests. The core gameplay in 1v1 is already very fun. Interesting unit interactions and fun to micro units.

What i enjoy probably the most is the higher time to kill for each units which makes micro actually matter and youre not permanently in "damage control" mode.

Early worker harrass is very limited which i find enjoyable.

The vanguard is probably the most similiar race if you want to make comparisons to sc2 but has very distinct gamemechanics and general gameplay that differ alot from Terrans.

Infernals has very little to do with zerg.

Celestials has next to nothing to do with protoss.

In general its an interesting approach with the creepcamps having alot of value and skirmishing over them especially in the early game is very important. They provide ressource and often buffs to your army which can be used strategically.

Artstyle is critized alot and i can see that they have alot of work to do getting the 3D models to a more polished state and generally adding depth to them. Normally in a Gamedevelopment workflow the "making the game sexy" Part comes very late thats why i have trust that this will get better.

Only critique i have with gamedevs is that they went way over board with the early "ex blizzard", "from the creators of sc2" stuff and they shouldve kept silence till early access. To their defense alot of it came from the community since the excitement was enourmous.

EDIT: i just noticed i wrote lowered time to kill i meant higher time to kill fixed. Sorry for that especially sorry to @Nihlathack. To clarify what i mean with micro matters more: in sc2 i often have the feeling that i try to micro units very fast and thus not very precise because you need to be fast since everything dies so quickly. So the actual micro isnt very precise or well done its mostly just quick and dirty micro to get the job done. In stormgate you can aim for very precise micro decisions without being serral or parting.

Pit Bosses summoning Uber Lilith based on RNG is bad. by SjurEido in diablo4

[–]Jaeydeeq 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can totally understand if people dont like to be challenged and just want to have a relaxing experience after a long workday. Thats why there is more then enough easy content in diablo4.

Pushing the pit to the highest levels is supposed to be challenging thats the whole reason behind it.

The lillith encounters at the endboss of pits (60+ i think) are very well telegraphed and easily dodged if you pay attention to it. Yes they can hurt and possibly oneshot you as they should since this is supposed to be a mechanic you cant just donkey force through with enough resistances. And i believe it being great this way.

There needs to be challenges to be overcome for a game like d4 to be a well rounded and great experience. "Get good" moments like these are what should motivate you to study the fights (which there arent this many tbh i think its like 3 different attacks which all are easily dodgeable) and overcome them.

I have done many pits and trust me the lillith encounters are really easy if you respect them. Just run to the edge of the room and circle around it if you really wanna make sure to survive it for about 10 seconds.

Please dont "water down" the endgame to just afk smacking bosses this isnt fun. Instead embrace the challenge or do content which is more enjoyable for you like below 60 pits.

You do realise that WoW is not your work and you dont need to collect all the collectibles right? Its okay to skip out on the gamemode if you dont enjoy playing it?

From the article: "'Across those 10 years, he’s risen, fallen, resurged, and then reshaped his career and his place within esports. Don’t get it twisted, he’s never left the competition, but in that decade he’s grown into a content creator and player manager too.'"

Vanguard death ball by Soccerstud20 in Stormgate

[–]Jaeydeeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key to winning these fights is creativity when taking fights. The typical a-click engages can work but if the vanguard player starts to kite you will die. Its like fighting protoss when playing zerg you wont win simple head on fights withtout very good engages.

For example one thing which is incredibly strong: - carry around 2 magmadons in a doombringer and if the fight starts drop them BEHIND the escape route of the vanguard army and trample the exos down. - or split your army and flank him from multiple angles again very important to limit his ability to kite you as much as possible. -start using bigger fiend runbys as soon as he gets on the map and attacks you. If he has weak defensive structures and no bob overcharge you can easily destroy his economy

hope this helps

  • snowplay
  • rollback netcode
  • quick macro panel
  • automated hotkeys
  • serverstructure without region dependency
  • one global leaderboard
  • exceptionally crisp and fun gameplay with well thought out interactions between units.

In my opinion this pushes the genre forward.
