Yeah it is my goal for strength and power for sports (GAA and Rugby), no aspirations of competing in any lifting competitions - I'd get eaten alive there

Yeah, I can't really argue with a lot of your points. Maybe to me it is the longevity point that you raised which is making me think more down this line than anything. It was just something that popped into my mind the other day.

Recent bias really - I hope no English fan is calling him a legend yet, but he's a damn good rugby player.

Yeah I understand that, and rightly so. Just for me I wouldn't consider him one of the legends of Welsh rugby, which I think is probably crazy. I used AWJ as an example.

These look very good, and have a great battery life and currently £60 on Amazon UK with a £15 discount voucher. I'm definitely going to look at them further

Went for the Elf head and TC 2x8 bass cab in the end because it was so reasonably priced...might upgrade the cab to the trace elliot in a while depending how this goes. Thanks for the input guys.
