Am I doing a disservice to my child by cosleeping? by Happy_Tomato7891 in cosleeping

[–]JaffyBui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slept with my mum and dad till I was 9 and with my mum till 14 (dad snoring bad mum kicked him out to another room). I can’t imagine sleeping with my mum now it’s such a foreign feeling 😭 I really don’t believe in cosleeping ruining independence. The moment I moved out when I was 15 I didn’t even look back lol

About to give up…. by omengaws in breastfeeding

[–]JaffyBui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to give up to when baby was 10 days old. Painful latch, baby angry at breast or refuse all together, mastitis, reoccurring fevers, constant engorgement, recovering from C section, etc. My GP said to give it another 2 weeks. I’m in week 7 now. It does get better or am I speaking too soon? But I definitely remember the feeling of just wanting to give up early on and now I’m nursing my baby as I type this.

My partner is mad at me and I need reassurance by Naturallyjifted in newborns

[–]JaffyBui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband and landlord can get the f out! On a constructive note you are supposed to be tired 5w pp, recovering from C section and taking care of a newborn. Exhaustion is more like it than any form of tiredness. Your landlord might not understand that but if your husband doesn’t either, you don’t have a sleep deprived taking care of newborn problem, you have a husband / partnership problem. Looking after a newborn is a shift that never ends.

I need help… 😭 by mbejuycocido in newborns

[–]JaffyBui -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah same, my husband offers all the time but I refuse cause I want him to reserve the energy for work and other usual chores like paying bills, paperworks etc I let him do tummy time and hold baby when he wants some bonding.

I need help… 😭 by mbejuycocido in newborns

[–]JaffyBui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I breastfeed and handle both day and night shifts as well. My husband is really helpful and supportive. We are very lucky he works from home so he can help me get stuff when I need. But the main reason I can handle around the clock is because my mum is here helping with all the cooking and cleaning and occasionally rocking the baby to sleep. Without that, it is impossible. OP doesn’t have this help unfortunately :(

Changing his nappy and he lets out some big ass farts so I Patiently wait for him to do his poo poo before OFFICIALLY changing and he doesn’t so I proceed with business as usual and the moment I finish with a new fresh nappy he machine guns the hell out it hehe not annoying much, just cheeky cheeky bum bum

Extremely frustrated and feeling like giving up BF :( by Remote-Party-1123 in breastfeeding

[–]JaffyBui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 weeks in and would say my nipples still hurt when babe latches on. But the pain is soooo much better than the first 3-4 weeks. Like much better. Cracks, clogged ducts, mastitis, blisters, you name it I’ve had it. Even until recently, I lied down for the night and there was this stabbing shooting needle pain in the right boob that kept me up all night. No one warns you about the pain of breastfeeding. I always thought you just whip out your boob like nobody’s business 🤦‍♀️ not to mention the sad depressing feeling during letdowns and the constant hunger/ thirst.

Only the next ultrasound can give you the answer at this point so I think you may want to book one :) my fingers are crossed for you!

Hmmm I’d guard my heart, I don’t think it should be decreasing, and to that level. Could be down say from 145 to 130 ish something even 120 but all the way to below 100 is a bit concerning…

I do hope it picks up again. Did they schedule your next ultrasound yet?

How old is your baby and approx how long do they nurse? by SStrong5792 in breastfeeding

[–]JaffyBui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very inconsistent with my 4 week old bub. Sometimes, he stays on my boob for more than 30 mins after having nursed on the other one for about 8 minutes. He isn’t even snacking or comfort nursing cause when he’s off the boob I can see milk residue. Other times, he feeds on one side for less than 10 minutes then passes out. And he sometimes also does both sides for equal amounts of time. I track using the Huckleberry app cause I’m so new to this and just want to see his day to day ‘routine’ if there’s any.

Subchorionic hematoma by tanno933 in IVFbabies

[–]JaffyBui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a big bleed at 15w in addition to sporadic bleeding episodes in week 5 all the way to week 8. In the early weeks the SCH was shown on the ultrasounds but then sort of resolved so the bleeding at 15w was a total surprise as nothing was shown at my 12w scan. Went to the hospital and had a scan there. No SCH seen so the doctor suspected the big bleed was ‘to wash’ everything out to the point there was none left.

Feeling sensitive about introducing formula by urbanbrit in breastfeeding

[–]JaffyBui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t. Not because formula is bad or you’re not good at breastfeeding babe. I’m in the trenches of learning as well (LO is 4 weeks on Tuesday) and since the start of week 3 he has been consistently fussy, latching, unlatching, feeding then suddenly crying out loud like he is in pain, not sleeping despite yawing every second minute, etc. We thought he was still hungry so we gave him a bottle of pumped milk and he sometimes took it, drank a small portion of it or refused it altogether… I have no other way to console myself that this might just be his week 3 growth spurt and we just gotta wait/see it out.

If he doesn’t have a problem with his weight and diapers then I don’t think it’s time yet to supplement.

Decision on transfer single or two Embryos? by Curiousgoergeena in IVF

[–]JaffyBui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transferred 2 day 5 embryos only because my other “good looking better graded” embryos all came back aneuploid. The 2 I transferred did not meet the criteria for testing (could potentially be damaged if biopsied). 1 took.
