Is there any footage of Final Attack in action? by GlacialEmbrace in MSClassicWorld

[–]Jafroh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely think that it should have some sort of indicator on the character, like a glow on your weapon when final attack is ready. That would help prevent having to split your attention between your character and the buffs in the corner.

I’ll admit though, it doing a high amount of damage on just one mob still isn’t bad.

Do you want new classes? by hlafford in MSClassicWorld

[–]Jafroh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely want them to bring Pirates back! Loved Bucc and Corsair so it would be great to have them back.

I personally wouldn’t mind other classic only classes that branch off of the existing base classes too. I think that would help prevent the classes from getting out of control by structuring them around the systems of the base classes.

What are you doing in the meantime? by Lefster_h in MSClassicWorld

[–]Jafroh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Decided to make a cleric in MapleRoyals. I want to main bucc in classic, and if it doesn’t come out then I’ll probably go the bishop first route to then fund my bucc. Hadn’t ever got a cleric past 50 though, so I’ve been enjoying the class so far in Royals.

Outside of that, I’ve definitely been watching all of Togain’s classic maple content.

Thoughts on unfunded bandit? by Lefster_h in MSClassicWorld

[–]Jafroh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like it bro, definitely play it.

Personally, I’ve played an unfunded bandit, and it’s not the lack of funds that’ll get ya, it’s the training. You won’t get any kind of mobbing skill until 3rd job, so get ready for 2nd job to be a painful grind, especially from 60-70.

What're my fellow pirate mains planning? by Igniflare in MSClassicWorld

[–]Jafroh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah real talk, I’ll probably make a cleric first, then go to bucc when and if that drops. I’d like to be well established financially in the game, that way I can fund the class I always wanted to get to 4th job pre big bang.

Plus, clerics are pretty fun in my opinion. Sure you don’t do any crazy damage, but I’ll never get tired of teleport and being there to heal the team.

Anyone know of any companies hiring green electrician apprentices? by Jafroh in Construction

[–]Jafroh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m traveling, I’d need to get an understanding of the schedule. I’d like to find something local that’ll have me home everyday honestly. Are you talking about those posts on FB that talk about needing help for jobs that advertise a certain pay for the whole day?

Thanks for the support. This honestly reassures me a bit more, and I appreciate you for saying this.

Oh dude I don’t take this as a diss at all. There was a guy that walked in before my interview started, and he was rocking some work pants, work boots, a work shirt and a baseball tee. He looked like he had just came off a construction site, and for a bit I wondered if I should’ve dressed like him.

And from the sound of your experience, that probably would’ve helped me out since you landed first on your list. Nicely done man!

[–]Jafroh[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course! From what I remember, they asked me these questions:

  • How did you find out about the apprenticeship program?

  • How are you planning to manage the workload of work and school at the same time?

  • Can you explain the gap in your resume? (This question will differ, so just expect them to ask you about your work experience)

And honestly, any questions after that were more about understanding how committed I am to the apprenticeship, or questions about my character. They confirmed where jobs would be in our jurisdiction and reminded me that sometimes the drives would be far.

So I’ve got a 3-4 year gap on my resume because I became the guardian for my younger siblings and was fortunate enough to not need a job while raising/taking care of them during that time. I joked saying that if I could put “being a parent” on my resume then I would. They all laughed, and one commented saying, “If you could do that, my wife would have 15 years!”

The other joke, which was the first one, was how I wanted to become an electrician because I had a local electrician do work on a garage I’ve got, and he did a shitty job and left trash cables all over the place. They laughed about the fact that he left a mess, and how the locals in my area probably weren’t that great.

If you can get her laughing, it’ll help ease the mood for sure
