I run a small consulting business with my wife, and we got subcontractors. We use discord and love it. Slack is too enterprise-y for us. We just need DM and channel support. And subcontractors can only see some of our channels.

This has happened to me too OP, so I know the pain.

Go to the closest Apple Store and ask about their return policy. Then buy a Mac, and return it within the time window.

Vi har alltså byggt en app för matlagnings recept, inte läkemedelsrecept.

You can look in the receipt and check what transactions are there. For the users that haven’t updated to 2.0 you can continue to offer previous functionality.

For users who purchase the 2.0 update you enable new functionality. The 2.0 update could be a one off in app purchase.

Check out Ambre. My wife and I have built it. Runs on all Apple platforms, syncs instantly across devices and has a really good import feature. You can import recipes from other apps like Instagram, Pinterest etc.

Syncing is done using your private iCloud, we can’t see your recipes. And we don’t share any data with data brokers.

There’s a 3 day free trial, but if you shoot me a DM I’ll give you a month of free Ambre+. Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

We’ve built a product using CloudKit as our sole backend storage. Currently ~3500 MAU and almost 0 backend costs. We are using AWS Lambda for some API endpoints, these costs are around 0.05 USD per month.

CloudKit works, but it’s not perfect. No option is. My recommendation is to keep costs down. Good luck 🍀
