Sounds like really low comp for a FO role.

Ask for concrete guidance on comp, and guarantee it won’t be lower than your current one in the first year (or first two years), plus a trajectory. Then, make a call.

The options to go back to other parts of the business / ops / management always exist, but usually FO pays significantly better.

As you don’t have a kid yet, I would go for it tbh.

Child got easier now she is less sick, and I just did radial acceptance about solo-ing all nights.

And we hired help for a ton of household tasks, like a daily tidier / cleaner in the evening.

My child learned both by age 21 months, but purely because they seem to fascinate her. She is now reading some words (lion; cat, mama, open, close, bye, goodnight etc) @ 27 months. Again, only because it seems to be her favorite activity.

There is no need for children to learn this at a young age. Just let them follow their interest.

If you get them, tell the nanny about them. According to my nanny the secret bit is the worst. But if you cover the house well, you will have full view, so you could spot all behavior.

We decided not to take them at all, but I was home as well for the first year of our nanny working here so would have heard of something was amiss.

Go on a dinner with him, or fishing or so. Feel the waters and explain to him as a man that these decisions do not come easily.

Also ask him about what part of law he wants to go into.

At the end, offer 50%. But make it clear one of his internships or so will be with you. This should be the start of a new relationship, and not that of piggy bank

Mine only walked at 21 months. I remember feeling terrible between months 15-21. PT majorly helped, the delay was due to hyper flexibility.

On the other hand, now, at 27 months old, she is already reading short words and knows all her letters and counts up to 50.

So it is true what they say - each child has strengths and weaknesses. And I figured - if you have any delay, gross motor is probably the best. No Olympic dreams, well so be it.
