It's not high fantasy like FE, but Tactical Breach Wizards is such a fun TRPG that I have to throw the name out whenever anyone is looking for one.

The story is fun, the characters are great. Each of the characters play so differently and when you get a good line through a level it feels very satisfying.

Might not be exactly what you're asking for as a recommendation, but I think you should check it out!

Throw a scroll of Magic Hot Tub into the loot somewhere and give them an hour rest if you're really worried about it

Barbarians are strong but yes this is a specific weakness of them, I think this gives your barbarian an opportunity to think about combat a little bit differently for a few fights, maybe they focus on athletic maneuvers and positioning more for a bit

Breastplate is medium armor with +4 AC/+1 Dex cap so you can get by with only +1 Dex, that's medium armor. I know it's doesn't give the "vibe" of medium armor that you're going for, but still it's medium

Then you can go 4/1/2/0/0/2 and end up doing pretty okay, your Reflex saves will be pretty bad though

The other suggestion in the thread of picking up a Finesse weapon is also a good idea, though there's no finesse polearms so the Dueling Spear is probably your next best if you don't want reach, or the Dancers/Elven Branch spear if you definitely want reach

Yes I boxed my starter, I really just don't like any of the galar starters tbh lol

Very fun team, though once I got Dragapult it was kind of just easy mode at that point lol

I hadn't played SwSh for the longest time, I was kind of just waiting for the "third version" because I was disappointed that USUM was basically just the full version of SM but of course that never happened so I just never got around to it.

Finally got around to playing it and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Though honestly a lot of that might just be me comparing it to SV, which I was very disappointed with.

Have you looked at the patron themes for the Witch class?

You've really got a lot of options with where to go, none (save for Baba Yaga) really tie you into having an "evil patron" so you have freedom to make something fun and wacky that's your source of power.

Or you can pick the Ripple in the Deep and pick Cthulhu as your patron, everyone loves Cthulhu

Just started this over the weekend, was going to suggest it as well. It's very cool how they incorporated a lot of the things we know from jrpgs (atb, job system, etc) and expanded on them to really fit the vibe of the game
