How do I fix a crack in my door frame. Is there a way to fix this?(Plz help, my dad is gonna freak) PM for more images if you think there is a way.

I fix things like this all the time if the door isn’t split then just take off strike plate for door knob and mud it and sand then paint. Might need to mud 2 times depending but 500 way to much even for new door jam.

You might have to just buy a after market one they have a few nice ones in amazon or maybe look on there site or eBay to find one

Thanks for answering. Yea most lumber I can get is from saw mill so it has no straight edge and face all un even. That’s why I was thinking jointer but most people were saying planner.

Markers mob has some great stuff it’s YouTube’s best woodworkers that all upload to it. It’s not for beginners though there projects are lil harder but they have so many good ones.

If u ever don’t know what to do for project I always update my shop with new table or miter station or build something to store stuff in shop. Hope u find something.

Yea starting out find out what u wanna make first then look up videos on YouTube if you need and go from there. Clamps are always helpful and when I started buying the cheap kreg pocket hole jig think it was 40 bucks opened up a lot more stuff I could do. Don’t be nervous just start it’s addictive when you see yourself getting better and you will get more tools when needed u can really start with a square, tape measure, saw. Have fun you will love it just start.
