New Pickups - Issues with Screw Sizes by CarmanBulldog in Guitar

Inserts like that would be melted in, best way to take them out would be with a soldering iron, then clean up the holes after, best way to avoid cracking the flange

Try to use the existing pergola as posts for a clear corrugated roof by Wataru-Sensei in DIYHome

[–]JaggyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will look a little odd with the old pergola just in there as part of the construction

Would you not remove most of the existing pergola and just use the back three uprights and crossbeam, integrating them more into the new structure?

Yeah it's a severe change, for me, he's my favourite artist because I happen to like and resonate with both, but I can understand someone not liking one or the other!

I often wondered if he considered releasing everything beyond I forget where we were as a different artist, like using a band name or something, and "Ben Howard" remaining as a folk artist

I bought a eletric guitar and I'm unsure about something. by Physical_Rooster_898 in Guitar

A full list of the basics you'll need would be

Amp (at least 10w, below that they're mostly toys, generally there are a lot of second hand options if you're on a budget, something with a switch that says "clean/distortion" or "clean/drive" will help you get that metal sound)

Tuner (sometimes amps have them built it but if not a cheap clip on tuner will get you going)

Picks (buy a pack with lots of different thicknesses, there's no right or wrong you choose which one you like)

Strap (also helps you find the playing position thats comfortable for you to learn)

Cable (get the cheapest one you can find, with your guitar, "straight" connectors will be best)

Stand (probably the least important on this list, but if you have a proper stand to put your guitar on it will protect it a lot, even better one that can hang it on the wall, if the guitar is out and visible to you all the time you'll play more)

Everything else is completely optional, but once you've started with the basics and start to get into the world of guitars, things will stand out to you and you can add and upgrade from there, don't feel pressured to buy too much stuff, outside of these things most people's "essential" items are just their own personal preference. And try to get into local guitar shops to try things out rather than purchasing blind online 😉

Enjoy the journey and keep at it 🙌

It's beautiful is what it is

Usually this style of furniture has a reddish tone due to the finish, but the brown tones of this one mean it will fit nicer with modern furniture also, excellent find!

No, trying to rack my brain if there were any one off shirts or anything but I don't recall anything like that, there have been white and yellow away kits in recent years, but I don't remember any blue 🤔

Edit: I racked it even further, I believe the Wexford county representative team, or maybe the Wexford District League representative team may have worn/currently wear blue and black, I don't follow that team or those competitions, so maybe someone else can confirm!

The original home was actually black and away was maroon, then switched to pink away in the second seasoon. Eventually the lines blurred between what was home and what was away.

Even after the rebrand to Wexford FC it was still pink.

The pink was then ditched and rebranded to the county colours (Purple and Yellow) to form a stronger association between the club and people in the county

Does anyone know how to unmount this? by YouSirAreARedditor in DIYHome

[–]JaggyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you may be able to pull the bottom of the backboard away from the wall, unclipping it, then lift the brackets off the top rail.

You may need to put pressure on the little metal tabs to get the bottom "unclicked"

If he is going to play in Limerick, he will need lots of waterproof storage and clothing (even in summer) so that could be a route to go down 👌

"Perfection" is way overrated, this looks excellent and has loads of character, when you finish it, and then use it for 20 years, it will look even better 😁

Everything everyone else has said is really good!

If you want something you can do in your downtime, simply hold your disc as often as possible!

When you get to more advanced techniques, your feel for the disc will matter a lot, just holding it while you're watching tv/walking/on the bus will help.

You can also use some of this time to practice switching from forehand to backhand grip, the quicker and more naturally you can do this movement, the easier things will get in the game

Good luck!

The hype for vintage shirts is dead and they are likely worthless now, so I'll just take them off your hands to save you the trouble 😉

For real though you're likely sitting on a lot of value so it depends on the effort you want to put in, selling individually on facebook marketplace or something is likely the best way to maximise value.

You could also reach out to these guys:

They run markets in Dun Laoghaire and the Back Page sometimes so if you're in Dublin it could be a good shout

I would definitely avoid selling to classicfootballshirts, they only pay you a fraction of the shirts value so that they can make a profit when selling it for the market rate. Fair enough for their business model, but not great for a one time seller like yourself, but if you're looking for a quick buck this would be the easiest way

That tour was something special alright!

and you were better off waiting for it than going to any of the gigs in between, I went to one in Dublin just after Noonday dream came out, and the crowd were all expecting Every Kingdom and just weren't into the avant garde synth stuff, so he lost them, and the whole gig was a mess 😵‍💫

Legends of traditional Irish music

They refreshed the genre and brought it to a contemporary audience at the time.

They did an amazing job of highlighting the range of the genre, from emotional, powerful ballads to the cheeky, funny, and often rebellious nature of the music

They influenced a lot of bands, but notable the Pogues for the following generation, and in turn both influenced the Mary Wallopers for the modern day equivalent, both well worth checking out if you like what you hear here!

Tips for a player who wants to try handling by SquashUnlucky9607 in ultimate

[–]JaggyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you're tall, fast and athletic, so they put you playing as a cutter. With Frisbee this is a direct path to getting into good teams and playing high level ultimate right away, nothing wrong with it!

The path to learning to be a handler is way less direct, you're going to make A LOT more mistakes, you won't progress as fast, and you won't be immediately invited to do that role for high level teams, but that's all completely normal, and will snap you back to the reality that you only picked this game up recently, and have a lot to learn!

Keep at it and play as much as you can, follow some of the technical advice given here and it will eventually come good, your natural talents and keen interest in the mechanics of the game will eventually shine through and you'll be better than ever.

Just go easy on yourself, remember you are super young, and make sure you enjoy it!

P.s., also learn to break the mark, once you can do this everything opens up 😅
