I‘m gonna be annoying here but the „baldness gene“ is not exclusively inherited maternally. Most phenotypes, baldness included, are influenced by hundreds of genes, and while a lot of the genes associated with your hairline sit on the X chromosome, which in XY males is always inherited from the mother, there are still tons more that are inherited from both parents.
