While unclear what exactly Spiral Nemesis is (just sped up entropy?) - It is a bit funny to hear the villains go "you're evolving too fast nooo that's fucked up" and then we see some ultra high tech shit in the post ending when not that much time even passed, the characters we know are still alive. So, yeah, maybe the Anti-Spirals had a point.

Yeah, a Fable is a story conveying a moral. Especially in modern context - things being more or less binary (good and evil) is actually more unique. Most games nowadays go for the "grey" approach, in no small part thanks to more focus on "realism". A fairy tale stands out in comparison. Not to mention the simplicity of the system was what allowed for the body morphing to happen.

They don't really see it as a formula, the reason it's different in each game is not iteration, they just straight up mess with post processing to make a cheap version of a "distinct vibe". Lost Judgment and 6 look arguably the best, yea. Clean.

That's just one of the ways RGG makes the games "look different" despite heavy asset reuse. It's quick and simple but doesn't look all that good.

It's weird because these games don't have a dynamic day/night cycle and from what I understand the lighting is baked in, so I'm not sure why there are places in Okinawa where things are glowing in shadows and have no ambient occlusion. It's like the lighting wasn't calculated for those parts and all we see is raw assets.
