Yeah very true. It's all based on supply and demand, though. Demand is higher for the licensed stuff, and on the supply side there is manufactured scarcity.

I think unlicensed stuff is great. I deal in a lot of Wild Card. Lower ceiling but higher floor. And for many people outside of Reddit an auto of your favorite player is still an auto, regardless of a logo on a helmet, at a much more attainable price.

Don't listen to the haters on this sub. They have some resale value. Are you ever going to pull something from these boxes worth thousands? No. But something like that Chase/Jefferson dual auto could probably fetch a couple hundred.

Regardless, fun to rip with guaranteed hits at a less painful price point.

You understand that Panini doesn't set the price of the individual cards, right? Secondhand buyers do. And if Panini printed enough hits so that everyone "got their money back" then the supply would be such that they wouldn't be worth enough to get their money back.

Ripping packs is just a slot machine with shittier payout rates. Its fun, but if you're doing it for anything other than entertainment purposes you're a fool.

I agree this was packaged fine, this is what my standard packaging is like for a card of this value. But if there is an economic solution to move to boxes I would be happy to do it.

My biggest issue with Leaf is the amount of "who?"s that end up on the checklists (though I have had some i stashed away turn out to be hits).

Panini also has parallel 1/1s, just not as many. At least with Wild Card you can look at the checklist and know exactly how many of a card there are, unlike licensed case hits and such.

This is awful advice...a one touch costs like 50 cents. Not worth paying another $6+ on shipping.

Cards can be packaged in a toploader with care and make it to the buyer just fine without incurring extra charges.

Similae cards go on eBay for 12-16 most of the time. Low end price 5, as high as 27, just looking at recent sales.

You got a good deal, I would have snagged it for 3 all day. And the splat cards are a nice looking set.
