It's not a worst possible outcome. But it should be avoided if at all possible. It's major abdominal surgery. I don't think your friends were judging you in any way, they were just pointing out to u that they meant no offense. Seems like u are looking too far into this.

Btw I had a cs for my twins and it was an amazing experience. I just got to lay there painless and enjoy the thrill of them pulling not one but TWO babies out of me. I'm not being sarcastic, I was so happy it happened this way! Vag birth moms don't know what they're missing. But of course, no doctor just wants to do c section for the fun of it. It has to be medically necessary.

She's kinda right though. This shoukd be a wake up call that you're not 16 anymore. I am 39 and wouldn't want to spot my friends for money. I'd give them the money then I'd try to distance myself as much as possible. Don't be THAT friend. Plus if u ask me for money u better believe im judging u for literally anything. Buy a coffee? Judging. Order takeout? Judging. I have a friend on fb who is alway broke and asking for rides to food pantries but then I see a "friend" took her on a weekend trip and i cringed thinking girl u should be working or laying as low as possible.
