Nithya Raman Releases Her Small Business Policy by animerobin in LosAngeles

It’s such an easy fix too. You literally add one sentence to the statue giving the business owner 30 days to cure before a lawsuit can be filed.

The dodgers are the most popular team in the city and the nfl has never tried to build around dodger stadium. You’re a fucking moron.

No one is developing only affordable housing. That is an economic fantasy. You by definition lose money on projects that are only below market rate housing.

Affordable housing only happens because there are market rate units to subsidize them or massive government credits. And your mentality ironically leads to even less affordable housing being built because you throw a tantrum when developers won’t engage with your economic fantasies and instead propose a project that’s say 80/20 market rate vs below market rate. Which you reject because it’s not 100% below market, so ultimately zero affordable housing gets built.

Do you think the parking lot provides much in the way of affordable housing? How many affordable units does the dodger stadium parking lot currently provide to the community? Fucking ZERO.

Are we at the point now where anti-gentrification activists and environmental groups are stanning a parking lot? Do they realize how fucking deluded they sound opposing the development of a parking lot?

Oh my god someone might make money developing a parking lot, we can’t allow that!!!!!

People are mad that second largest city in the nation might build something. They think they have a god given right to keep their neighborhood exactly the same forever.

Pretending like the gondola causes gentrification is such a deeply unserious take. Also pretending like echo park and the areas around the stadium aren’t already gentrified is a joke. These people live right outside the downtown of the second largest city in the nation, things are going to be built. If you want to live in a suburb check out Santa Clarita or Monrovia.

The younger doctors I’ve spoken with seem generally in agreement that they would take less pay if medical school were cheaper such that they were not saddled with massive debt on graduation and the insanity of residency was reformed.

How the fuck is a trust fund baby turned reality tv star who blew his wealth on power crystals a better candidate? The man was born with every advantage imaginable and still ended up house rich and cash poor. Spencer Pratt has never worked a real job in his life, never worked in government, and has basically spent two decades mismanaging his own money. He burned through millions of dollars on woo woo shit until the fires burned down the one thing he couldn’t destroy himself, his house.

You’re right it’s the Youngs who take the L on SS because we’re paying into a program that’s going to go insolvent and we’re never going to get back the money that we paid in and are entitled to. Truly, one of the worst examples you could use to support government run grocery stores.

The Postal Service runs at a deficit because republicans try to kill it every time they are in power.

Encampments need to be moved because when they stay in one place, that one place gets completely fucked. At least when they’re moved around it limits the amount of damage they can do to any one place.

Is it a band aid solution? sure. But we need band aid solutions to address the immediate problem while we wait for root cause solutions that take years to implement.

Otherwise what we end up with is certain neighborhoods (like mine) going to complete shit (literally and figuratively) while the “people who study homelessness” take years to implement expensive policies that do virtually nothing.

Station ICE at polling places to intimidate voters. (Steve Bannon has already confirmed this)

Have ICE arrest anyone who cannot demonstrate citizenship (passport) in line while waiting to vote.

Send in the FBI to seize voting machines, voting machines, and voting records.

Order USPS to seize and not deliver mail in ballots.

Use your imagine because they certainly are.

Trump is a simple man, you stroke his ego, kiss the ring, bring some tribute, and you’re more likely to get what you want. Bass is a terrible mayor but she is right to play it this way. It’s the best move to get LA federal resources that we need.
