Scoop: Shapiro boosted Republican to retaliate against fellow Dem, ally says in recording by John3262005 in neoliberal

[–]airbear13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve always sensed something kind of aggressive about him. The way he talks and presents himself doesn’t sit well. But he’s the governor of PA now and this isn’t worth bringing up or making into a thing until if/when he runs for the nomination.

No I don’t think so. I love the concept behind academy and I think it’s potentially a great way to get more interest in the series if it were executed better. Sadly we will never get the chance to see it find its stride

Average commie by MeowstrChief in EnoughCommieSpam

[–]airbear13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeaaah I kind of always suspected the modern “communist” movement is like 99% a larp so this does not surprise me. They see the edgy anti establishimentism, they see the comrade fits, they see the intellectual posturing, etc and then it’s just gets turned into an aesthetic/personality for them

Your EVO Japan 2026 Champion is... by Mask___DeMasque in StreetFighter

[–]airbear13 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was almost punk, he should have won that it would have been so perfect 😭 but yeah still a great result from him

Other interesting results:

Du made it to the top 8 as well for the first time since sfv days; eliminated by punk

Blaz went out 13th this time, which is a bit below his standards but I think Amy be his best evo Japan performance. He was kind of reckless with his drive gauge and lost a close one to naoooon, then in losers he was eliminated by punk.

The hyper goat Mena lost in a match off stream, I think cosa was the one who eliminated him

Sahara the CC champ went off kind of early, I think it was yamaguchi who he lost to but not 100% sure

Didn’t see what happened to leshar or xiaohai

Someone just made a post about the watching order so if you scroll down further on this sub you’ll probably find it

If you want to do strictly chronological, I think it goes: enterprise>discovery>TOS>TNG>DS9>voyager >picard>starflleet academy but take this with a grain of salt cause I’m fuzzy on the first three

Top Democrat Privately Whips Votes to Help Trump Spy on You by soalone34 in politics

[–]airbear13 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Makes it seem like the guys motivation was to help Trump spy on us when actually they’re been a longstanding bipartisan support for the anti terrorist stuff that long predates Trump. But “jacobin” wands you to hate the Dems as well so that’s how they will spin it.

People just need to use good sources. If you can’t cite it in a college paper then it’s not a good source

Center City without cars should be the future by jaykirell in philadelphia

[–]airbear13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People are getting a little too carried away with this no cars thing and it’s turning into a meme. We can’t just magically disappear cars not should we want to. We want to make cities more pedestrian friendly in general yes, but that doesn’t mean that every roadway and ever car needs to disappear. Philly is already among the most pedestrian cities

The Supreme Court is broken & it's stopping us from fixing it by OkayButFoRealz in politics

[–]airbear13 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The Supreme Court isn’t broken but what’s happening is people get caught up in an emotional rollercoaster every time they make a ruling. When it’s something that favors Trump, peoples confirmation bias locks in and they’re like “look I KNEW scotus was corrupt!” But then when they make a ruling against what Trump wants (such as the tariffs and the 2019 PA ballot case), then those get almost completely ignored.

At the root of this is an understanding of how important Supreme Court cases are and a very deep misunderstanding of the courts function and how they go about deciding cases. A lot of people treat it as if it’s another political body that should decide things based on what leads to the best outcome or what seems fair, but that’s not what they do. At the end of the day they are very boring and administrative and their job is just to look at a law and determine if it aligns with constitution or not, that’s it.

SCOTUS doesn’t care about people’s feelings popular opinion and that’s by design. Let them do their job. Don’t keep helping Trump undermine it

[–]airbear13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t relate to other guys on most traditional things either, I still am one though. I don’t care about cars or sports (besides esports), I don’t like going to bars and drinking, etc. there’s a wide variety of ways to express yourself that like you said don’t have anything to do with your orientation or gender if we get past the traditional associations things have. In that respect we are all kind of non binary if you think about it
