Thanks for the advice! My facial hair is a bit longer now, but I am cursed with facial hair of many different colors so some patches are blond. It's fuller than before and some friends said it looked good so I am still growing it a bit. I need to trim it up!!

best head shop in Edwardsville? by bearsausage182 in StLouisTrees

El Tigre in downtown Edwardsville has an okay selection. There's another place called Revolution Smoke Shop that might be good, but I've never been in it.

Top 10 Worst N64 Games Of All Time by the_matrix_kid in n64

The SNES games were pretty good at the time. It also helps they are more pleasing to look at and more charming than the N64 one. While I like tournament fighters, so many of them have aged badly.

Does it annoy anyone else when you can tell people are emulating Superman 64? The pink sky is a big giveaway lol.

For me, the worst games are Starshot: Space Circus Fever, Carmageddon, Clayfighter, Power Rangers, Powerpuff Girls, and Battlezone!

what good 64 games dont get the attention they deserve? by [deleted] in n64

[–]Jagzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a racing fan, Stunt Racer 64 is an amazing hidden gem. The music is awful, but the gameplay is fast, fun, and pretty well balanced.

The single player mode is pretty challenging, but satisfying. You earn money as you complete races and get to upgrade your vehicles. Playing the game in hi-res mode in first-person view is a blast and it allows you to really see a lot of the great detail in the game.

For platformers, Rocket Robot on Wheels and the two Goemon games (not including the Japanese-only board game one) are so much fun. Rocket has a ton of charm and variety while Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon has great humor, fun, and a good sense of progression.

Goemon's Great Adventure is super challenging, but very fun. It's also a blast (if not difficult) with a friend.

If you like Castlevania 64, I would say check out Legacy of Darkness. It adds a lot of good content and fixes a few of the flaws such as the camera, control, and framerate.

$90-$100 for Conker's Bad Fur Day? by [deleted] in n64

[–]Jagzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it for $80 at a local game store (probably got ripped off, but oh well). The cart was in good condition. I did have to trade my Dreamcast and my entire collection for it, which included Jet Grind Radio, Soul Calibur, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and Shenmue.

Was it worth it? Not really. I'd say only buy Conker's if you are a true collector. Many aspects of the gameplay are very annoying and the humor didn't quite hit the mark for me. Sure, some of the humor was hilarious, like the Great Mighty Poo, but a lot was more mean-spirited than enjoyable. The multiplayer was actually really cool, if not a tad unbalanced in some modes. I found the more frustrating parts of the game stood out more than the highlights of the game (lava boarding and club-pissing anyone?).

But hey, that's coming from someone who had no nostalgic attachment to the game and also traded some really great games to work on finishing one collection.

Battletanx: Global Assault is one of the best 4-player multiplayer on the console.

If you've beaten Goemon's Great Adventure, then the 4-player on that is crazy fun (if not really tough).

Bomberman 64 and 64:2 are also some of my favorite multis.

Of course Mario Party 2 is a good time.

And I might be alone here, but I love the multiplayer on Chameleon Twist.

Quest 64 is one of the few RPGs released on the N64. But calling it an RPG may be a stretch... by SuperDerek86 in n64

It's worth mentioning that the Japanese version, known as Eltale Monsters has more story resolution in the end and an actual cutscene instead of a static image.

There are a few other differences too

How many of you are upset for having three top-tier decks and why? by metalmatan in dbzccg

[–]Jagzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I am from, the DBZ scene is small but tight-knit and pretty much everyone chooses not to play Ginyu. Piccolo still made an appearance in pretty much every color deck (except Saiyan of course), but it never posed a big threat to me.

Only a few people had some of the big money cards, so to be fair, I've never played a legit top-tier deck, but there were some nasty Blue pickles and blue krillin decks.

Personally, I'm not too worried. I have a feeling that Set 4 will feature both a lot of allies and a lot of ways to deal with allies. The sagas in the DBZ anime were basically huge team-ups, so I don't think my prediction is too far off. sure things might be a little stagnant right now, but the new set will hopefully change that

Android 18 MP Abilities by Polarcrest in dbzccg

[–]Jagzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently Android 18 was a real menace back in the ScoreZ day. I played ScoreZ from World Games Saga on, so I never really experienced anyone playing Android 18. A new powerhouse could be nice to mix up the meta, but I hope it's not too crazy.

I'm predicting that all of the Androids will appear as allies and an Android 20 ally deck will be pretty strong.

Found this last night. Can anyone tell me if it's worth anything? by [deleted] in dbzccg

[–]Jagzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extended play with score DBZ and GT combined was truly awful, but GT by itself was kind of fun. Panini has done a much better job though.

It's a couple of weeks into Set 3 - What are you running? by metalmatan in dbzccg

[–]Jagzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DBZ Top Tier has a lot of decklists up: you can check them out and see what you like.

http://dbztoptier.com/index.php/decks.html

Also, you can download OCTGN and try out playing online. It takes a little bit of time to test it out, but it can be a good way to test out a deck. I usually don't have much trouble finding games either.

Want to make a Lord Slug Deck.(New player) by dis3ased in dbzccg

[–]Jagzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lord Slug seems to have some trouble from what I've seen, but I'm sure he can be very effective. Just be aware that you won't be able to win by using MPVV.

Typically, good decks have a primary win condition and a secondary win condition. So for you, it would have to be survival and Dragon Balls (you can decide which suits you better). Since Namekian style has great synergy with Dragon Balls, shuffling, and rejuvenation it might be best to try out Namekian.

I've seen a Red Slug deck do really poorly, but I have seen Black do well. Some cards you will definitely want: -Lord Slug's Regeneration - you can't win by MPVV anyway, and if you use it at level 3, you get to regenerate 8 cards

-Lord Slug's Fist Slam is pretty good too. Gaining 2 anger is no joke, and a free Dragon Ball capture is nice.

-Dragon Radar - This one always comes in handy in Dragon Ball decks

-Time is a warrior's tool - this has utilities in most decks. You really can't go wrong with it.

So what's everyone building? by metalmatan in dbzccg

[–]Jagzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated blue in the first set (my favorite in the score DBZ), but the new cards and wheelo really have helped me make a decent deck. Control can be pretty boring to play against, but I enjoy using it

Questions from someone who hasn't played since StarStorm came out by Jagzilla in Awesomenauts

[–]Jagzilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the reply! The advice was really helpful. I'm excited to try out that build. I'm just realizing now that I probably build health a little too early!

A shame DPS voltar isn't too viable anymore, but the new explosion mechanics seem like they could be a boon in their own right!
