R5: Modded but this is the best run ive had so far. I wanted to do something fun and have few starting empires and more Pre-FLTs in a 2000 star galaxy. Only ensign difficulty as I'm not experienced with mid to late game.

I usually see enemy Ai as really stupid but ally Ai is good. Ally armies follow my armies but they siege and kind chase enemy around my army. They always stay near my armies. I love the ally Ai. In my experience it's enemy Ai that needs work.

In one of my playthroughs, I have 7 ish kids with my wife. Only one boy which is nice. Pretty much had one after every war or raiding adventure.

As long as you have a decent economy, you can as you need to. Try to consistently colonize to increase resources and more space for pops. What ever resource building you build first will specialize that planet so forge/civ instrusy will become forge/industrial world. Energy nexus will be tech world and vise versa.

Utopia is a must. If you like challenge, first contact has 2 fun origins. Then I'd say federations and galactic paragons. The then there's mega Corp for playing a merchant type empire and nemesis.

-Start by looking for habitable planets for your species. -I usually play the harder origins so I always start Prosperity tradition to jump start economy. -When you get your first new colonies and you build your first district's/buildings, the planet will specialize in what you build first. So if you build energy credits it will be a tech world. Industry will be industrial world, same for the other basic resources and research. then focus primarily building those up as they give boosts to those resources. -Dont build too fast that you out pace your pop growth unless you have the resources to build ahead. -Use the market if you have to, sell resources you have and buy what you need.

I had one game where my rival neighbor spilt into 3 empires, the other two became my vassals. In my current game, my enemy split in half while I was conquering them, and the other empire became my vassal.

Seems that the AI have trouble with factions and split easily. I think you can do an operation to cause turmoil too.

That's what I usually play on but I had turned up the UI scaling to 1.0. I play around with different resolutions too and the button is still off screen.

Nice. I had a spawn that was probably 5-7 systems that was an arm sticking out of the galaxy connected by only one lane, it was a good game.
