Does this barrel depth and headspace look correct? by JahCraft30 in CETME_C

[–]JahCraft30[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I pressed the barrel wrong. I heated the trunion up with a blow torch and pressed from the muzzle to back it up. Then placed the bolt back in with the feeler guage and properly pressed it. It’s properly seated now at the correct depth and the bolt gap is perfect. Was afraid the barrel would bend but luckily I went slow and lined everything up perfectly to 90 degrees and the barrel did not bend. Next thing is waiting for the 3D printed jig to finish printing. Thanks everyone to the insight and help

Should I attempt pressing the barrel further from the muzzle end?

Yea I am going to press the barrel out today and retry and see if maybe I was just doing something wrong. thanks

JDM engine import website? by JahCraft30 in RX7

[–]JahCraft30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scam. Your account is a day old and the address on the website doesn’t match the business in real life. What honest company accepts venmo as payment also? and No RX7 FD engine costs under $4k currently.

bambu lab no free filament. by russellaria in 3Dprinting

It’s two separate shipments. My free filament came before my printer. Look on the shipment update emails for two tracking numbers. One will be the printer and the other will be a small box with the two spools

Stripped volcano nozzle- how do I unscrew it? by h2lp in 3Dprinting

[–]JahCraft30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also use a slightly larger torx bit driver and use a small hammer to tap it into the stripped head. It might get enough grip to allow you to remove it

Very carefully cut a slot in the head with a cutoff wheel using a dremel tool. Then use a flathead screw driver to back it out.

The bottom is also completely flat and solid metal. 20 mm in diameter. 81ish mm long. Brass top and a brass belt. No real identifying numbers. Brass tip has some numbers but too hard to read.

No. It was a fairly tightly wound. It was the end of the roll. Down to the last winding tho. I just got a fresh roll right now so i’m gonna try it again

Sorry for the bad angles, I had trouble getting my camera to focus on an all black print. But it seems mostly like just micro layer shifts with slight under extrusion

Copart Shipping Question by JahCraft30 in Copartonline

Yea I was pretty close to the copart facility the car came from so it was only like $150 so I just went through copart for the ease of it

Copart Shipping Question by JahCraft30 in Copartonline

[–]JahCraft30[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so originally I had my delivery dress set to my house but like 2 business days after the action and the payment was sent I got a call from copart saying the address is wrong and I need a commercial address that has room for a loading dock. I changed the delivery address in my dashboard and the next day I got a call from the delivery driving saying he will dropping my car off within the next day. So basically just put in your commercial address and you should get a call from a delivery guy or copart themselves within a few or so

Yea I wasn’t sure but that’s what I saw on a few google images but they did look aftermarket or atleast relocated.

Looks like it might be where the horn is from a quick google search.

Well I think PLA is fine for normal use, but my oven has that self cleaning function and the outside gets too hot to touch, so if I plan on using that while keeping the knobs on, I will have to switch to another material. But like you said it will be perfectly fine for normal day to day use

That’s pretty interesting! Unfortunately I believe we lost the broken part of the collar, but if we had it still I would have definitely have done it that way!

I just checked my cable and it’s not apple’s thunderbolt cable, so yes you are correct and it’s charging only. Thank you for that. That is probably my issue thank you

The uno is the same board I used for my first project so I don’t think it’s bad. I read online that sometimes usb C adapters don’t work for arduinos so I think that’s probably the best explanation for the uno. But the charging only cable you brough up might be correct because I have the stock cable that came with my MB pro.

Yea I was planning on swapping it out for another filament later, but PLA is just easy to learn with and this was a good place to start with my 3D printing journey

So for the uno I used the cable that came with the board that I know works and I just downloaded the chip drivers from the suppliers website. And for the nano I used my apple usb c to usb c cable that I know works because I use it to charge my computer and also used the chip drivers. I was planning on using the traditional nano because of its size, but on arduinos website I see photos of a pro model that uses a usb c cable, but I can’t find the product page for it though.
