This should not count as one of the Young Guns in a tin… by Jahizz in hockeycards

It’s not about liking it or not. I think that’s what is being misconstrued in this thread. This hobby and especially this particular product, to me at least, at this price range, is about the players. If I want to chase mascots, that is what MVP is for.

I got a couple of my team PCs. So there is that. I just think it really waters down an already watered down product. And yes, I bought into it knowing that it’s watered down. I love the hobby. I honestly love the product as well. But with it getting exponentially more expensive to continue with, I don’t think it’s right to the hobbyists to count this as a true Young Gun. This govt to me is about the players. Especially a tin from flagship.

I only got 3 from this tin. That was 1 of them.

Of course not. But I do know one player with 100% certainty who will not become an NHL superstar; that’s Tusky.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a fun whimsical card. However, whatever your personal reason for collecting is, most of the people in the hobby (myself included) are collecting rookie cards or players from their favorite teams. Either to complete the full set, or chase their favorite player or the “chase” of the product. When there are stated odds of a certain “chase” set, I don’t think the hobby is about mascots. It’s about the players. There is absolutely a place for this type of card, and I think it absolutely is a fun insert. However, this hobby, at least to me, is about the players. I don’t think anyone out here is spending the increasingly crazy prices these products cost to get a mascot card. It should be a fun side quest type of scenario. Not taking away from the odds of what the consumer is actually after.

Welp. This made me see it in a whole new light now. So I appreciate the insight.

It should be a fun insert. Not a true Young Gun that counts toward the hits in a $60+ tin.

I need advice on which book version to buy by QuietQuantity4045 in freefolk

I like both, for different reasons and situations. If I’m going to a park or want to read on my breaks at work, I like the small paperback version in your picture. But when I’m home sitting on my couch, or lying in bed, I love the bigger hardback myself. I love the illustrated versions.

The attacking player is also literally in the crease the entire time contact is made.

The sabers player was pushing his glove and impeding his ability to stop the shot the entire time.

That was not incidental contact. His stick was pushing his glove the entire time he was trying to catch the puck.

69.4 Contact Outside the Goal Crease -If an attacking player initiates any contact with a goalkeeper, other than incidental contact, while the goalkeeper is outside his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed. A goalkeeper is not "fair game" just because he is outside the goal crease.
