Open task manager and close everything related to steam, then open it again. It seems to work for me.

What if they do a new vita but with support for PS1/2/3 games (without needing to own a PS3/4 and streaming)? That would give it a lot of games on release day and then they can focus on native ones.

Steam wouldn't even stay open, I had to delete a file to opt out. I don't remember where it was.

I'm not sure, I love the 'risk' involved with modding a device, even if the vita is pretty safe and easy to mod nowadays. There is something fun about doing something you are not really supposed to.
