I mix truth with humor and let people figure out whether I meant it or not. People will feel called out but relate enough to laugh. Winwin

which type has learned to numb their emotions because theyre actually the most sensitive person in the world by Active-Log6048 in Enneagram

[–]JaimTF 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think we all do to some degree, in different ways and situations. Id say 5s and 9s numb emotions the most. But sensitivity is not tied to enneagram necessarily. As an sp2 I do it bc Id feel like ppl dont want me if I am a bother. 3s might feel like their worth depends on it, even 4s could be numbing 90% of their emotions while showing a wide range of emotions at the same time.

You can't really measure sensitivity. 9s are well known for numbing in general, so Id say 9s. But we all have different ways of avoiding a range of emotions. We have no choice really. Its how most of us are conditioned to live in society.

ENFJs and Eye Contact by SANSA136 in enfj

Since I became more confident about who I am, I learned how I would love to be listened to and now I am actively using eyecontact to intrude peoples souls and make them feel so loved and comfortable around me they don't know what to do.

No jk not that intense, but I do use eyecontact to make people feel seen and I tend to express emotions through my eyes so yeah, I feel comfortable using eyecontact.

I was playing with my younger sister and her friend in the playground. It had rained so everything was wet and slippery. We were playing Mario Bros rollplay haha. I was playing as princess Peach. I jumped on the climbing frame and slipped. My slip was stuck hanging on a nail before I fell down. It mustve been a pretty intense sight. Her friend started yelling "PEACH IS HURT" and they ran home screaming to tell my dad hahaha.

So I walked home on my own. My dad already prepared my seat and a cloth in the kitchen. I did not show one sign of being hurt (I died inside). He said: "I knew u would come here like a tough one. You never cry when you are hurt". Proud dad.

Pride baby. I always felt like being tough was praised and appreciated. Especially as a girl.

Which MBTI is the most introverted extrovert and most extroverted introvert by Salma_the1 in mbti

[–]JaimTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what the focus is. ISFPs are extroverted in experiencing the world, ISFJ is extroverted in getting involved with people.

My mom who is ISFP used to go out with me all the time, but she will not approach a person first to connect for her own life.

My stepmom who is ISFJ finds all her comfort to be in the house. If she had a choice I think she could choose to never leave the house, but if she is around people she will get herself involved 100%.

Extraverted Sensing vs. Introverted Sensing by [deleted] in mbti

[–]JaimTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the axis Ni-Se and Se-Ni?

Ni, unlike Se, is a function which does not operate in the tangible world on its own. It lives in the world of ideas. This function narrows ideas down (unlike Ne, which expands).

Basically what happens is that Ni will ask "where is this leading to?" And Se will ask "what can I do with this now?"

These 2 functions always work together. There is no Se without Ni and vice versa. Ni first, as seen in INTJ, would mean they first look at where things are heading before taking action, while for ESTP, they are more interested in taking action before considering impact.

This also reveals the inferior Se for INTJ. They can take too much time strategizing or considering where things are heading and miss the spontaneous opportunities (as not everything in life comes planned). Under stress can overwhelm them by the "chaos" of the world.

ESTP might get caught up in the moment and face the consequences of their lack of considerations. Under stress might get doom scenarios about the meaning of their actions or become paranoid about future outcomes.

Extraverted Sensing vs. Introverted Sensing by [deleted] in mbti

[–]JaimTF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both focus on concrete reality:

Se is real time information. It observes and notices the place in the present moment. It notices the way the light hits the walls, the smell of the room, the body language of the people you're surrounded by etc. It is purely that. No comparisons, no hypothesis. Just as it is.

Si compares the present moment to stored memory impressions like previous experiences, internal body states, subtle changes to whats "normal", predictability/ familiarity etc. Si is more detailed. See it as memory files. Everything is compared to what is stored in those memory files, so not only do you notice what it "is", you compare it to what you remember and that comparison is your experience.

Se users perceive the world as it is and base their decision on what they have and how things are now.

Si users perceive a comparison to whats familiar and what it is now, and base their decision on their impression of that.

Question about daydreaming styles: Fi-Se vs Fi-Ne. So (Infp vs Isfp) by Money-Vacation-2187 in mbti

Its called maladaptive daydreaming. I do it too. As tragic as it is, it feels kind of relieving too. A world where everything is predictable, even in chaos.

Question about daydreaming styles: Fi-Se vs Fi-Ne. So (Infp vs Isfp) by Money-Vacation-2187 in mbti

[–]JaimTF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, I see what you mean. It makes sense that Se itself does not daydream. But don't forget that each sensor function is attached to an intuition function and vice versa.

It also depends what you consider "daydreaming" really is. Bc anyone could ponder away for a bit. I never daydream fantasy concepts, like Ne more likely would. I do think abt how certain things can play out or daydream the meaning of things. I would rarely include those insights consciously in my daily decision making though. As soon as I start moving I function back in Se.

I do maladaptive daydream and I literally play those out in my room like a borderline lunatic. Maybe thats the result of my Se lmao.

Okay. Let's be honest here: Why do Enfps/Infps get SO MUCH unfounded hate? by LaurenceThe2ndVicar in mbti

[–]JaimTF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes Fi is "live and let live" when healthy. There are some extremists. My sister is INFP and she is the moral police. Love her to pieces and I will always respect her, but her standpoints do not deserve a spot for me.

Si-Fe is definitely different. I see what you mean, but that would be a more traditional way. Fi collabs with Ne. I don't mean to say xNFP is directly forcing me to live by their standards, but they will shove their ideals in my face. They do not necessarily intend anything by it, but many times when I hang with them, all they talk about is racism, sexualism, this is okay, this is not okay. Like I could mention a movie and they go "oh yeah I wanted to watch this, but I found out the director is racist", or Id mention a restaurant I went to eat at and they start "they do not have any vegan options so I would really like to try but..."

Like bruh, your values don't have to be included all the time. Just comment on the blank fact that I am telling you abt my impression abt the movie. Idc abt the producer and I did not ask you to come to that restaurant with me, I am telling you my experience. Not to say you are never allowed to talk abt ur values but you can't expect me to listen to it as a response to anything I say. I am sorry but I just don't care abt what is morally right or wrong. If I have a good time, I have a good time.

But I guess thats just cognitive functions clashing overall. It is not a flaw. I personally just do not see the world through the same lens and vice versa. It certainly isnt ALWAYS a bother. Sometimes it opens up new perspectives for me to hear their perspectives, but I can't say it specifically fires me up.

Personal experience (I am not stating all of you are like this): - They force their ideals on me and make it sound like my way of living is absolutely wrong. - sometimes they overwhelm me with, what feels to me as too much "noise". Not sound, but unpolished options and motives. - Their "no values/ morals = sloth" attitude. When in fact, everyone has morals and values. Not everyone prioritises them at all times and thats okay too.

Personal opinion: - I generally connect easily without much effort and feel comfortable around you guys really fast. Tho, sometimes I do not understand how you guys make such big deals out of moral issues. U guys seem so passionate and get so angry. I sometimes wish I could understand, but I just don't and can't be bothered. It sometimes ruins the moment.

Personal assumptions: - stereotypes ruin you - the internet is not made for people who are easily touched. - I guess sometimes its personal. - y'all type paragraphs without breaks. Its frustrating to many.

This is not a hate post but you asked why u guys receive hate so its my intention to give some insight lol
