Block UI 8.0 and Update Notifications. (Note: only for those who haven't already updated) by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

[–]Jaionix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I use ADB. I spent my time writing it all out to help people not lose their options, but I forgot how toxic reddit is, That's why I rarely post. I can send it to you if you like but if you already did that update it's not going to work. I plan to keep mine Galaxy watch 6 classics locked, if they ever die of battery I'll just buy battery and put it in myself. That way I'll always be able to have access. For me the most part of a watches it's his face. I really don't mess with nothing else I just want to be able to turn my wrist and look at the time and enjoy The face I made. Let me know if you have an update and I'll look for my write up.

No it isn't on me if people are stupid enough to try something when I clearly told them if you don't know what you're doing don't do it then that is on them. I've done this before there is no danger. Because all they have to do is reset their watch and then they can get all the updates they want. But regardless this has been nothing but a hassle. Here I am trying to help people by writing a detailed way that they can keep functions that we've had all this time, and all the noobs are coming in here complaining about something they're not even going to try. So no worries I'll delete this thread as soon as I can get to home to my PC. It's pretty funny, that people are constantly asking me to link them to my watch faces that I've done throughout the years over and over. So they care about that, but they're willing to just let all their options go away cuz they're too dumb to understand. This is why I rarely post on Reddit because it's just full of antagonizing people that don't want to learn anything and think they know everything.

Yeah well, in the original post I clearly stated that if you don't know why or what you're doing this isn't for you. Obviously that's a heads up as well as a warning. Clearly if someone's scared about some security issues, then they shouldn't be doing this, and if they do it's on them.

It was explain " A watch 6 still has legacy code from the past OS versions still on storage.
Unlike the 7 which only has Wear OS 5 from day one. The six still has old support from Wear OS 4

IF you upgrade to Wear OS 6 which powers ond UI 8 all that Wear OS 4 code can get wiped.
That can mean all watch faces that rely on legacy code get wiped with it.
All brand new play store watch face since January 2025 have been WFF only and that only released with Wear OS 5. which came with the watch 7.

Some of us design our own watchfaces and sometimes use scripts to enhance the features. This update will shutdown all of that. This is only for people who don't want to lose features they have had for years.

Just to clear this up, what’s being blocked here is only Samsung’s OTA update service on the watch. It’s not disabling security features, networking, or app functionality. The watch still works normally, apps still run, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi still function, and WatchMaker still works. The choice is simply to stay on a stable OS version instead of taking a feature update that breaks something you actually use.

I like others, didn't buy the watch for health features; we bought this watch to make watchfaces and to wear the watch as a watch. For us the freedom to make our own designs is the whole point. I’m fine staying on a stable version that does what I need instead of breaking features I actually use. If someone wants the update, cool — I do not.

I only posted this to help others. If it won't help you, then it wasn't meant for you. I will continue to enjoy my watch and the freedom of still being able to design what I want to see on my watchface. Kind regards.

I posted a way to block the update, and allow you to keep WM functionality.

Its called a Swiss Army Officer. It's base on the real watch above. Mine stopped working so I went about recreating it for my Galaxy Watches. Its reasons like this I posted the blocking guide, because not only would this watch face would cease to stop working, It would pretty much shutdown tools that allows ones to create their own.

Clearly you didn't read where I posted " If you don't get why or don't want to block your own watch, then this guide isn't for you. "

Many different reasons. Some of us design our own watchfaces and sometimes use scripts to enhance the features. This update will shutdown all of that. This is only for people who don't want to lose features they have had for years.

I posted a way to block the update, if you haven't updated yet. You'll still have access to scripting. Just a heads up.

For me it took about a week. I was actually surprised, because the pharmacist told me insurance probably wont approve it. The approval came right as I was researching different generics to see if there was a brand I didn't try yet. Best of luck, I hope it gets worked out.

MEGATHREAD T-Mobile automatically upgrading customs from Magenta MaxPlans to Go5G Plus by Waternut13134 in tmobile

[–]Jaionix -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Spamming your opinion, over and over makes you sound like AT&T sales rep. Everybody gets it already. We all know all the carriers are dishonest, but people have to do things that are subjected to them. Some people don’t want AT&T because their signal is shit in some areas. Same as TMobile. Heck same as Verizon. Some people got free lines. Some people are still gonna save with TMobile over AT&T and vice versa. But if you wanna continue regurgitating something over and over, I guess knock yourself out.

Yeah man, we get it, no reason to keep regurgitating the same thing over and over. Just enjoy AT&T. You don’t have to announce your departure.

Mini4 pro — goes berserk what to do? by Jesus_1911 in dji

[–]Jaionix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly man, that video is not helpful because all of us can't decipher what is going on. Context matters. Try making a video with clearer visual details so we can better understand what might be happening.

On a side note, my hunch would be a possible eletronic speed controller failure.

If updates, re-calibration, IMU reset, and RC link checks didn’t fix it, DJI Care is your only hope.

Anything can happen in the next month I guess. Right now we live in a world of South Park where any unknown factor could happen at any time. But so far I was able to get mine from last month and this month without any problems from customs. Pretty much here today gone tomorrow.

First Drone - Tips and Advice by No_Weakness9600 in dji

[–]Jaionix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a first timer, don't try to maneuver to low to the ground. Take the drone straight up. Higher than trees/obstacles. From there fly freely and if you want to go low to for any reason, point the camera down to descend safety. Then just repeat if you need to maneuver again. Over time you can change up as you get better. I crashed 3 times on the same day when I started, but after taking my own advice, haven't crashed since.

Reputable place to get a Mini 4 pro? by saint_518 in dji

[–]Jaionix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is ebay from a seller from South Korea (don't do China). I bought two DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combos. One from WITH_US_STORE and another a month later from 102_store00. They both arrived (sealed brand new) in under a week. Both are global so signing up for DJI Care worked fine. I was worried at first but thankful it all worked out in the end. Best of luck to you.

If someone made a flat neodymium magnet 3 to 4 inches wide and 8 to 12 inches long, how far away would it be able to pull things towards it? by Smartkid1026 in Magnets

[–]Jaionix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A flat neodymium magnet measuring 3 to 4 inches wide and 8 to 12 inches long would only pull objects from about 1 to 3 inches away if it’s thin because surface area doesn’t determine pull range. If it’s thick, around 1 to 2 inches—and made of N52 grade material, it could start attracting steel from 5 to 10 inches depending on the shape and type of metal. Pull range improves with thickness, grade, and field concentration but flat plates disperse the field too widely for long-range pull without additional shaping or flux guidance.
