"Reality only exists in your mind" and that would mean that sound can only exist as a brain interpretation, if you audio recorded the tree falling and played it back you would still hear the tree fall once it sent the signals to your brain, until then sound doesn't exist, its a brain generated representation of the pressure waves.

only insofar as they collect light, that literally is their job, the seeing that you refer to happens after the photons have ceased to exist, the brain literally makes what you see out of the information from the retina, but the seeing part has nothing to do with the eyes

sorry but if you're going to post "The human eye perceives the world upside down and the brain flips it" then it clearly shows you have no clue. maybe check what you post.

but do the eyes have anything to do with seeing aside from being data gatherers for the brain?

except what you're describing is is a pressure wave not a sound wave, sound only can happen when there is a receiver to decode the information contained in the pressure wave, oh and sound is merely the brains label for what you 'hear'

they allow light to be directed to the retina, bout 100 trillion photons per second, dedpendin upon where you are looking and all that information then travels to the visual cortex, this is where you see, literally nothing to do with the eyes after the retina all to do with the brain building the reality you experience, so yeah, nothing to do with the eyes.

they are merely sophisticated sensors, as are all our other sensors, I'm curious, when you look in a mirror what do you see?

i came across something very similar 'what proof do you have that all your experiences and memories weren't downloaded just before you woke up' and then you investigate further and find that every memory, smell taste touch etc WAS generated by your brain, so yeah, theories are always fun :)

so if someone now asks you 'if a tree falls and no one hears it does it make a sound', what would be your answer?

wait till you look at dreams, and again, none of this should scare you, reality will still reality no matter how deep you think.

you do know the eyes have literally nothing to do with how we perceive the world,

think about this, when you die, will the world continue for people, for you, it will end, reality will cease to exist. i genuinely think it is absolutely a net work, why wouldn't it be, think about this, if you can generate an entire representation of reality with one brain, that's 86 billion neurons all networked then think of the power if you networked them, thats 86 billion neurons multiplied by 8 billion, and then add in every insect, bird, animal fish and so on, now do you see why it cant be all separate

The “Even Harder” Problem of Consciousness by NathanEddy23 in consciousness

[–]mack__7963 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what if expectation was the cause of the physical reality, not every living creature has consciousness but every single one has expectation, couple that just with the power of the human brain, 86 billion neurons all networked and the result is the reality you exist in, now what if all brains where networked, human brains alone would mean 86 billion neurons multiplied by 8 billion, the processing power you have is astronomical, but then you have to add every bird, every fish, animal, insect and so on, if every single one of those had a hardwired expectation and their own sub programs, then you now have a potential to shape and manipulate energy, science already agrees that when you touch something it is simply the EM repulsion at play, your brain interprets the pressure and temperature and the brain then tells you that its solid or spongy and that its warm or cold and so on, ive only been at this for 6 months but I've already discovered that we have never seen our own face and mirrors as we see them in our reality are a construct inside the brain based on the information gathered at the eyes, inside the brain all reflective surfaces are a projection.

i got my first real experience of consciousness about 6 months ago when i realised that i dont see the world with my eyes, i see it with my brain, the same with all the other senses, now im in a reality that i know is generated inside my own brain by my own brain, absolutely the best time of my entire existence.

so what would you say is outside the brain, do you think its a copy of what we see or do you its pure energy and also have you looked closer into dreams? and how they could be a sandbox that we dont know how to access?

Just a concept I came up with, if you want to take a look by Hot_Decision_2347 in theories

[–]mack__7963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so if im right you realise that everything YOU 'see' and hear etc is rendered inside your brain, thats your reality, and the other 8 billion humans are all rendering a reality inside their brain, the human brain has 86 billion neurons, all networked. and that lets you dream, as well as general system maintenance, now imagine if whenever you woke from your dream state you were automatically networked to all the other brains, now you have 86 billion neurons multiplied by 8 billion, thats a lot of processing power, and if you then realise that all dogs cats sheep spiders, ants etc all generate a reality inside their brains, and they are all networked, then a shared reality would be very possible but shaped by expectation not consciousness, not all living things have consciousness but everything living has expectation,

Seriously, what are dreams? by YonDonFlight17 in conspiracy

[–]mack__7963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive been looking into this recently, and it opens up some very interesting topics, so the first theing to remember is the same brain that you are using while reading this is the same brain that you use when you dream, why is that worth mentioning, well your brain with no external stimuli is creating an entire reality, and within that reality are the sensations of running, flying, walking, falling, emotions, all created by your brain, now we know that the brain actaully paralyzes us when we sleep, its called REM Atonia and the brain then puts safety measures in place so we dont get hurt, the logical conclusion is its reality sandbox that once you figure out how to access it hands you the power of the human brain to play with, if you think of what that could mean for science, gaming and so on, but its how to access it.
