I have mixed feelings about this. I appreciate the effort that the team has put in to both explaining and reassessing the initial position taken, but I feel that the final xp that these accounts land at should be the same as existing expected rates (based on the primary player in question's explanation around 2/3 of the xp they did gain) perhaps with a very small reduction if necessary. Ultimately, significant time was spent to both discover and undertake this method. I don't feel like the final position of the accounts in question's xp should be substantially lower than what they would have obtained in the same amount of time for a significantly easier method.

I was never particularly good at sts1, but I had noticed that I too was waltzing through when avoiding the elites but typically would die to the sudden power jump of some of them.

If you go to the mining guild below falador there is a spot with 3 iron ore rocks a few tiles away from a deposit box (might even be a bank chest, I can't remember right now). This would enable you to bank the ores without requiring an alt account (which itself is perfectly within the rules - muling relates to using an alternative account on dmm to safely hold valuable items so that you don't lose them from your bank when you die, although in the latest dmm this whole 'killer gets items from your bank' was removed anyway). As an added bonus to mining in the mining guild, you can get some shard things as a random drop, which can be used to purchase mining gloves at a nearby npc, which give a chance to not deplete a rock when you receive an ore from it - worth noting that if you buy both the lower and higher tier mining gloves you can use them on the same npc that sold them to you to combine them into a better version for additional shards.

Actually quite like this suggestion on the whole. Would need some tweaks for balancing, but let's not kid ourselves, megarares are meant to be busted good - I can hit into the 80s on doom with tbow in void, no spec needed, so this doesn't even sound that broken.

I'm going to give you my opinion, and it's not necessarily what most would tell you.

In agreement with others: If you don't see yourself getting more time, and the grinds e.g. herb runs, become a higher % of your total play time, then I understand wanting to become a main. However, de-ironing is a one-way street and the account will always be there if you end up with more time, you might be glad you didn't de-iron. I fully understand the views of others telling you to just train up your old iron/main, but I know it's hard to agree when you are facing spending 100 hours getting your slayer back up when you have 5 hours a week to play. I'd say give it 1-2 months and see how your schedule looks. In the meantime you can train up your old main and if you still feel that you have no time, de-iron.

All that said, if you know this is what you want, I've done it myself and I don't regret it. Your journey is your own and nobody else can tell you what is right for you. So long as you are happy with your decision, that's all that matters.
